1st birthday cake with buttercream icing and my very first attempt at color flow. I was worried the color flow picture would disappear into the buttercream so I put it onto a piece of fondant. Not sure whether that was necessary or not.

Iced in BC, this is the 3rd cake I've ever made. All the flower decorations are royal icing, and the little birdy is color flow. I really enjoyed making this cake! It was my first time playing with basket weave, colorflow and royal icing! I also ran out of butter and had to use margerine it was sooo soft and difficult to work with! Uggg. Ah well! Still fun!

I later piped it with 'welcome home mom' She loved it!

This one was fun, but took some figuring out. Cradle is made by assembling pieces of color flow. Close-up pic makes it look bigger than it is... only about 4" long.

No fail sugar cookies decoarted with royal icing. Retro inspired Birhtday cookies. These squares are very small and I had alot of trouble with the writing flooding. I will have to make it a little thicker next time.

My husband's best friend asked me to make a cake for his wife to celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary. Since we just came in from out of town, I had less than a day to put something together. This is a butter pecan cake with buttercream icing. I wasn't over the moon with this cake because I didn't have alot of time but they loved it and that's all that matters :-)

I found this cake on Wilton.com, called Lavable Dinosaurs. I made it for my son's 1st birthday. The volcano is mini-wonder mold, iced with butter cream and topped with piping gel. The dinosaurs are color flow, and the palm trees are royal icing. The 6" is marble cake with Raspberry Filling, and the others are chocolate cake with raspberry filling.

This is my first tiered cakeand first cake over 9 in. in size. I'm not really happy at all with how it turned out, but I had so many problems with baking it that I ended up being really rushed and tired at the end. Oh well, live and learn I guess.
P.S.- Date on camera is wrong this is from 2/25/2007

I was trying to pick a cake for my boyfriend's birthday and when I saw the oval pans from my classes, it just popped into my head: A bat signal! The bat was made with color flow and turned out perfect.

This wasn't actually a Valentine's Cake but rather a Rosh Hashanah cake by special commission. The cake is iced in chocolate buttercream and the roses are chocolate buttercream which were chilled and then drybrushed with lustre dust for an antiqued look. I used fall and metallic colors which stand out better on chocolate since it was Fall and I happen to love those particular colors.
