1st paid cake (for my best friend!). She requested these drunken clowns for her husband's B-Day after she saw my Course 1 cake when I knocked the clowns over by mistake! Choc. cake w/choc. filling, buttercream dream icing. You can't see too well in the photo, but the clowns are falling over the beer cans and one is 'falling' over the side of the cake.

This is the first clown I made. I have pictures of the rest of the cake, but they looked kind of weird because it was hard to get all the details with the different angles.

Party hat pan with 9" round for face. Made to match handmade birthday invitations for a 3 year old's "orange" birthday party. I thought this turned out very cute...and I think it's one of my favorites so far. Thanks for looking.

I made it during my son's birthday. I used marshmallow fondant (easiest for beginner's, I assure you) & cocoa to achieve the chocolatey color. I used marzipan for the seal, elephant & the clown. I put 2 marzipan roses behind the clown. It's a real hit, the disappeared like magic.

I did this cake for a friend's little girl turning 2. The party is Elmo/Ooopsy the clown. Cake is white almond sour cream, icing faux fondant II. Dorothy, name sign, and Ooopsy are frozen buttercream transfers. Elmo is a cookie inspired by ChicosMom. He is 5 cookies iced in same icing as cake. Each cookie is on stick. The fish bowl idea is from Woman's Day magazine, I just adapted it to elmo (Nerds for rocks, fruit roll-up plants). Ooopsy is her little smash cake. Thanks for looking!

this was the clown cake. i used colors for my clowns because my daughter wanted it that way. if you use yellow icing with a striped bag, you will get a more dramatic clown.

I had no clue what JoJo was, I got the napkin and this was the best idea I could come up with. The little girl loves the Lion So I had to put both on there.

This was the first cake that I made using only my imagination! Matt loved it! The "Happy Birthday" on the fornt played the traditional Happy Birthday song. The next photo is a different view from the top of the cake.

this is for a lady who collects porcelain dolls and pierrot clowns. I was real nervous about this one, I had no idea how to base a cake around them. It came out OK though even if the clown is a bit scary for small children! I'm still practicing making faces. All edible.
