This is my first stacked cake. I made it for a friend's birthday party. It was a bit of a disaster, I had gotten the icing so smooth and was so proud of myself, but it was about 90 inside my house and before I knew it, the icing had metld down the side of the cake. Next time its that hot I'll definitely have to try a different BC

This is a quick cake I put together for my friend's birthday. He is an eagles fan which is why I chose green and white. Not sure why the picture makes the cake look like it's leaning b/c it reallyisn't. TFL.

This cake was for a couples shower for a talented and somewhat funky musician. The theme was "The Notes to My Heart." The topper is a cookie. Fun to make!

So I'm watching Who's Wedding is it Anyway and there is this awesome blue and chocolate brown cake on there. I had to do it.
The background is a light teal (think Tiffany Blue) with chocolate brown circles.
Its all Satin Ice.

Thanks to Tide89 for the inspiration on this cake. DIdn't want to do the usual "Over The Hill" cake so I opted for this one. Bottom--spice cake with Chai filling, middle--Kahlua with coffee filling, top--chocolate with ganache filling. BC frosting with fondant accents.

After a few fondant struggles, I finally finished this cake. A big "thank you" to everyone who gave me words of encouragement and gave me pointers on how to minimize the most obvious flaws. I owe a big "thank you" to Leahs who turned me on to the SPS (I delivered it stacked...who hooo!).

This was my first attempt at making the fondant circles and the Viva paper towel method. I really loved it! I tried to make the blue circles shinier so I brushed water on them but I guess it was too much because they fell apart when I picked them up and they were really sticky. Oh well it was just a pratice cake.

I stole this cake idea from Duff. This cake almost didn't make it to the reception. After traveling several miles down a dirt road and an extremely steep decline in the Georgia heat, it got there a little worse for wear. I got many comments on the originality of it though. It was a white/chocolate marbled cake with snow white buttercream.

I made this cake for National Boss' Day it is French Vanilla cake with Vanilla Spiced RUm creamer and brushed with a Kahlua Simple Syrup. There is Kahlua in the frosting also. Two 8" layers BC icing with MMF accents. This is my take on the famous "Circle Cake" that I have seen so often on CC, I love it and thanks to all for the inspiration!!

I did this for boss day. We have 29 attorneys on the floor I work on so for our big floor party, I decided to do a cake that had every attorney's name on it. Coming up with the design was much more difficult than making the cake. It was a huge hit. I have also posted a picture of the side view.

This cake was for a bride's wedding shower whose colors were black and white and the invitations were contemporary with black and white circles. The only color the bride is using in the wedding is red, and they are going to be red roses, so we included them on her cake as well. I saw the top of a cake done by JSmith called "Curvy" and loved it and so did the bride, so we used the design only slightly changing the fondant roses. Thanks JSmith !
The cake is made entirely of fondant, as well as the monogram.

This is the cake I did for my twin nieces 7th birthday. They had a manicure/pedicure party, so I did this make-up bag cake. The make up bag is a cake I saw in a Debbie Brown book and have been looking for an excuse to make it. They had a small party and I went way over bord on the cake, but it was a good reason to practice with fondant. Besides, nothing is to good for my girls.

This was done for a sweet 16 surprise party. Her color scheme was brown and french blue. The cake is chocolate with buttercream filling, and white Satin Ice fondant. I really need practice with covering cakes in fondant.

Marble cake with buttercream dream icing and MMF accents. The six year old this was for picked all the colors and shapes for her cake, which turned out really cute! Her reaction...."oh, wow!", which still makes me smile!
