I combined two ideas I saw here - one: using vegetable cans to bake a cake in, and two: the cup of cocoa cake using half the sports ball pan. It's all fondant with buttercream snowflakes. The top says LET IT SNOW, but the flash was too bright.

Thanks to Daisy1's Snowflake Wedding Cake, I was inspired to attempt the royal icing snowflakes. I think it turned out pretty good for my first attempt....they sure are delicate though!...about half broke as I was putting them onto the cake.

The chimney is made using Sugar Babies. Gingerbread houses are a great use of leftover Halloween candy!

My attempt at a snowflake cake. I started out with about 12 snowflakes and after I butchered half of them trying to take them off the paper, this was all I had. It is a red velvet cake with traditional red velvet butter frosting. Thanks for looking!

This was my rushed cake as it was made the day before Christmas Eve when we were suppose to go to my in-laws' house, but my hubby got sick and we wound up staying home. Turns out we ate this about two days after Christmas. It's a very good "doctored cake mix" recipe and is also a tradition in my home now. I believe this was my first - the one that started it all!

Polar bear Christmas party cake for a work friend. Inspiration cake from ShirleyW's polar bear cake and TooMuchCake's polar bear cookies wearing sweaters. Bears made from gumpaste and wearing fondant sweaters..painted with food colouring and fine paintbrush..border is meant to look like swirling snow..hope I achieved that... My friend wanted chocolate and something wintery so this is what I came up with. Also great help in the forums with suggestions. I am proud of this cake.

Pictures of Snowmen. Experimented using fondant on the scarfes to see which was faster... I actually have to say putting the scarfes on with royal icing was a bit faster...

These were inspired by the ones on the Wilton contest website. I made 6 assorted ones in different designs and colors, but this one was my favorite. A lot of work but a lot of fun to do.

Boy was this one hard to do!! Not difficult really, just time consuming. White chocolate pound cake covered in peppermint white chocoloate with fondant ribbon and bows. I'm sure there were easier ways to do things but it was my first attempt. Any advice/tips appreciated.

This cake changed designs every 2 minutes. I went to make snowflakes, but couldn't, new design. It take tens times longer to make a cake when the design changes. LOL. Chocolate cake, cream cheese frosting, buttercream deco(mainly because I ran out of cream cheese after putting on the leaves). I will find a way and time to do snowflakes, I'm determined.
