This was made for a child's birthday party themed after Christmas. Everything is edible except for the characters. The client bought them and wanted them incorporated into a cake. Unfortunately you can't see all sides of the cake. I also made a fondant sack filled with Christmas ball candies.

I'm sitting on my couch enjoying tv last night when my daughter decides to let me know that she had volunteered me to make 24 cupcakes for her class party. She did survive!!!! This is what I came up with at the last minute. I used piping gel for the mouth, eyes and hat. I really liked how the black took to it. The cupcake is Swiss Chocolate with chocolate buttercream icing. The poinsettias are royal icing.

I got the idea to do this style of a cake from a member here. They used different designs on theirs, and I added the snowflake free handed. I put the cake sparkles on it to make it look like it had a frost on it. The customer was very pleased with it. I know that I can always come to this site when I'm needing cake suggestions. Thanks

This is the third time I have made this type of decorated cookie, and the first time I have made it into a basket. Made other cookies but these are the ones that turned out nice enough to give away. The first two attempts at making the glaze I about quit it was so frustrating, but I think I am getting it finally. haha.

Of course, this isn't an original idea! I was so inspired by other pictures on this site I decided to try my first CCC. I was amazed at how easy it actually was! This site inspires me so much as a new cake decorator...THANKS!!!

I absolutely detest the way Royal Icing tastes, and I was making these cookies for a real icing lover - so I made up my own icing that would still harden yet tasted wonderful. Here is the final result!

Last minute cake for our street party. The person bringing the dessert got sick so this was the dessert. I actually had 2 hours to make and decorate the cake. Everyone was happy. Vanilla cake made from scratch with buttercream icing.

This was made for my 4-year-old son's Pre-K xmas party. The children and teachers loved it. It was simple for the teacher to just give out a cupcake to each child and go on without having to cut, serve and clean messes afterward.

Don't look too close...I had some issues with my fondant stying together. I had to bring a cake to a family gathering and thought I would practice a little with fondant. It was a little too soft, hence the lack of smoothness.

1/4 chocolate cake cut in half lengthwise and stacked. In a perfect world, white cakes should have white icing, chocolate cakes should have chocolate icing . . . But in the not-so-perfect world that I live in, cornelli lace covers the crumbs that insist on showing their bright, shiny faces!!!

Here is a far away view of all of the cupcakes I made for the kids last night at my family Christmas get-together. They all sang "Happy Birthday to Jesus" and had a candle in each of them.
