This is a two teir chocolate cake with chocolate fudge filling, frosted in buttercream. Branches made from chocolate frosting, and all other detail is from colored buttercream. This was made for my husbands work BBQ. I saw the other one's made...that were inspired by Martha Stewart, I thought they were so cute so I used those as my inspiration! The website was down last night so I winged it on the detail.

I just finished this one today for a children's class at church. Their challenge was to bring their scriptures with them every week to church, and this was their reward! The theme was to "feast upon the word of Christ." LOL! This was my first time making chocolate fondant and using gold lustre dust. The lettering was a little hard to get right, so I had to try a few different ways, but now I've got it!

This is a cake I made for my sister's wedding shower. The L on the cake is for her first name. I used a pattern press for the decorations and freehanded the L.

this is a 12x18 sheet cake. It is chocolate with a chocolate ganache/buttercream icing. The pink boarder is done in buttercream. The Hilary Duff is a FBCT that could have been better. The decorations are chocolate molds outlined with royal icing. Big cake and it turned out ok. It was very hot and humid in the house, I put the airconditioner on and directed at the cake so the icing wouldn't melt!

I thought these cupcakes were going to be a real hassle because the buttercream leaves & flowers were to be piped on top of them...but they weren't as bad as I'd expected!

First, I smoothed the Bailey's Chocolate Buttercream and the Grand Marnier Vanilla Buttercream tops with a small off-set palette knife...then I piped the leaves and flowers onto parchment-lined cookie sheets, froze them and then just placed them on all the cupcakes.

Froze the cupcakes overnight for easier transport/delivery/setup!!

I loved this Martha Stewart design! The cake was a 4", 6", 8" and 10" square combo of Dark Chocolate cake filled with Rasperry Chocolate Whipped Ganache and iced in smooth Chocolate Whipped Ganache.

My co-worker friend iced the cake because she is a pro at squares and whipped ganache...and I am not!

The pears were sugared with egg whites and superfine (jelly sugar) the night before so they crusted perfectly.

I love the look, but summer is not the season for this. Not for warm weather...too scary!

German Choc. Cake w/ Coconut and Pecan Icing. Used BC for the strings, and the black icing...hard to do the strings over such a bumpy surface. Feel sure had it all been BC like I had planned...they would have been straighter, but this fellow so badly wanted the Coconut/Pecan Icing. I think it turned out okay, and he was so excited when he saw I had done the desired icing.

This was my very first 3D-cake, and I thought it turned out pretty ok. It's a ginger-chocolate cake covered with vanilla-chocolate buttercream. The cakes you guys do are SO different from the cakes we do in Denmark, so this is REALLY learning-by-doing :-)

This is a cake I did for a friend for her birthday last weekend. I got the recipe on Cake Central and it was a huge hit!

It's the Snickers Cake, complete with caramel buttercream and drizzled caramel and chocolate.

Thanks for looking (and thanks for the yummmmmmy recipe!)

This was a gift for my friends wedding. All the teirs are cake dummies except for the top. I made all the chocolate sea shells and dusted them with pearl dust. All the real shells are from my moms own collection she picked up on the beach. Everyone loved this cake and had NO IDEA it was fake. The reason for making it fake was because I helped out at the church and that the travel time from my house was about 2 hours. I had sheet cakes in the kitchen for them to cut. French vanilla torted with red rasberry.

I'm having to do this the old fashioned way (film, develop, CD, download) since the hubby has the digital camera for work, so you're going to get a bunch of photos from the past few months all together. Sorry about that.
This cake was done for a co-worker's daughter who loves Happy Bunny, otherwise she wanted a simple German chocolate cake.

For a friend's birthday. She requested these decorations! Peacepipe, suncatcher, turquoise border and Happy Birthday in Cherokee! The pipe and dream catcher were hand molded and carved out of white chocolate clay and pipe painted with food color to replicate authentic Cherokee ceremonial pipe. Rawhide fringes and leaves also white choc. Cake airbrushed to look like leather and then airbrushed with pearl dust fo the shine.

Chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. PB icing doesn't smooth well at all! Maybe I can talk the bride out of it. Ugh!

Made this doggy cake for the pre-schoolers at home during the recent short semester break. Cut shape out from a square chocolate raisin cake and iced with chocolate butter ganache. Nose and eyes are prunes.

This was my first attempt at MMF roses. I bought the Wilton rose kit and it was super easy. I could not for the life of me make royal icing roses, so this was a great alternative for me!

After our Florida beach wedding, we held another reception at home. This was one of the beach theme I tried to keep similar to the wedding cake. White chocolate shells and basic buttercream decoration.

First paid cake order for someone other than family. This is a big chocolate transfer. Broke is a few of the narrow areas as I was putting it on the cake. I wanted to do a buttercream transfer, but I made 2 practice ones and I couldn't get it to release from the wax paper. MMF rocks. Two 9 x 13 cakes, white and chocolate. I charge $30 which I feel is low.
