I made this wedding cake for a very special couple. They were having a scottish wedding and had designed their own rings. The design of the rings had to be encorporated in the cake design, as well as the tartan they based their wedding on. I really enjoyed making this cake, though my hand really hurt from using the sugargun.

One of my friends is getting married and asked me to do the cookie favours for her guests...both her and her husband are huge basketball lovers, so they incorporated their favourite team colours into the wedding (he's a lakers fan and she is a celtic's fan)...this is what I came up with and they loved it :). TFL!

This is a cake I've made for a guy at my partners work, He is a massive celtic football club fan. It is vanilla sponge with jam and butter cream filling, covered in fondant. The trickiest part was the badge and Tennents lettering. My first shirt cake so happy with the result!

The wedding theme was Celtic and incorporated the claddagh symbol, and the wedding colors were blue and silver, which they wanted for the cake.

All buttercream, 6", 8", 10", 12", and 14" dummy. First wedding cake, first gumpaste flowers, first run with isomalt. Spice cake with maple buttercream. Edible pearls, pearl dusted fondant lace, pearl dusted white chocolate Celtic trinity knots on one tier, clear isomalt Celtic knots on another tier. Fabric ribbon (bride's choice). An isomalt disc supports the topper. I dragged all my cake stuff 750 miles to make this in my Mom's kitchen for my cousin's wedding. Then my gumpaste peonies and roses were too big to fit between the tiers, so I had to use purchased roses there. :(

This is my first try at frozen buttercream transfer and I was pleased with the results! IT is fun and easy to do. The lettering is 'happy birthday Jon' in Gaelic, and the transfer is his Scottish family clan badge. The cake is choc with layers of NY cheesecake in between. The BC was a bit soft and sagged during its 1 hr trip to the party!

This is my gingerbread house made for the Gingerbread Lane display benefiting Welcome House of Cleveland, OH. This year's gingerbread house theme was Holidays Throughout the Year, and my holiday was St. Patrick's Day. Hidden in the gazebo is a little fondant leprechaun with a pot of gold. I piped knot work, made chocolate shamrocks covered in disco dust and generally had a lot of fun making this display.

They were to add flowers to it after I had set it up, and a topper, but all in all, this was my first. I worked sixteen hours on this - is that normal? And I was devistated at the results, I'm completely open to suggestions on how this could have been better... here were my issues:

The cakes baked up smaller than the cake boards, I trimmed them, but was using the SPS system, and the cake plate was showing after they were stacked.

My "tried and true" vanilla buttercream recipe failed me this time, in that I couldn't for the life of me get a smooth finish regardless of the three different methods I tried... Viva, hot knife, and roller.

The crumb coat never crusted, so when the final coat went on, some crumbs made it to the top. I'm going to try refridgerating the crumb coat next time to avoid this. Thank you so much! ~H

This cake was inspired by the father's tatoo of a Celtic Cross. It is frosted with buttercream. The strips, band, & celtic cross were made of fondant. The band is made of fondant/gumpaste. The celtic knots were hand tied.
A few hours after delivery, the client called to say there had been an accident. I quickly repaired as best as I could. Serves 45 $285 does not include tax or delivery
