This was for a student in my class. She didn't care about the design...just something cute, so I decided to try my first "person"...I definitely see room for improvement, but think she turned out cute!

This was a tmobile sidekick lx for a 12yr old. Hope I don't have to do another type of qwerty keyboard again! lol I created a AOL AIM screen and printed out on edible image paper. The date on the top was her actual birthday and I made up a screen name. My 16yr old daughter assisted me in the coded language the kids use today.

This is a spice cake covered in buttercream and MMF. All accents are MMF. This was for a 12yo birthday.

My son wanted a cell phone cake for his 14th birthday. He wanted a strawberry cake and he doesn't like the texture of fondant. So I made a traditional strawberry cake then added a layer of white buttercream flavored with cheesecake oil. The cake also had sliced fresh strawberries inside. The phone cake was just a plain cake covered with fondant. We ended up just throwing away that part, but the best part of it all was that my 14 year old son was thought I could make this and he was pleased!

All the decorations on the cupcakes were hand sculpted using MMF, except the letters I did use cutters for the letters. Everything you see is edible.

This is a single layer white cake my daughter made for a school project. It's a plant cell. This was only her second cake to make. Not only did she get an A+ but she won first place! Needless to say I was very proud of her. TFL.

This cake was for a teenage girls 16th B-day. Like any young girl, she spends most of her time talking & texting on her cell phone. Her parents thought it would be appropriate to give her a cell phone cake for her party. :-) The cake was 1/2 white 1/2 chocolate with vanilla BC icing. The screen & keyboard are made from fondant

The guy who ordered this cake walked into a table at work and broke his new mobile phone. His punishment was to bring a cake to work. And what suits better than this? He was very pleased with the result. The crack actually looked just like that and was placed right where the real one was, without me knowing anything about it. It's covered in fondant, sprayed with pearl spray to make it look like silver. Decorations are gumpaste and details are hand painted.

Vanilla cake, BC icing, fondant dots, letters, & cell phone. Not the best phone by far, but it was my first. Practice makes perfect! I've got a lot of practicing to go. lol

OMG, this was so much more time consuming than I thought. I thought my hand was going to fall off after drawing then airbrushing all of those C's. Carved from two 12" x 18" sheets that were halved then stacked. Covered in fondant and airbrushed. I used a stencil to draw the C's then I airbrushed to fill them in. All accessories are fondant. TFL!

This is a cake made for a Science Project. It shows the anatomy of an animal cell. It is my 13-year-old's first attempt at decorating a cake. I helped out. The organelles are made of fondant and candy.

I made this cake for a little girl who was turning eight and loved the Cheetah Girls. The cake is carved sponge covered in frosting. All accent pieces except for the cd case are fondant. The cd case is sugar.

11/15 vanilla marble cake with ganache filling. icing is BC, shoe is gumpaste brushed with pearl dust, and the rest of the items are made from fondant.

the client that ordered this cake asked for something that would be cool to give to the supervisors at the call center that he runs, this is what I came up with. white cake with strawberry filling and buttercream. The buttons and screen are an edible image, the rest is hand painted. I cut the buttons outs of the image and put them each individually on a peice of fondant then cut them out. this made them stick up off of the cake and look more like buttons.

This phone was made for my niece who turned 13. She wanted a lime green cell phone for her birthday. This was the only one that she got. It was made after a moterola flip phone. The screen is made out of fondant.

This was my first steampunk cake and it was...interesting! It's a laptop with matching cell phone, all made of fondant and gumpaste. Cake is WASC with chocolate buttercream icing. Yum!

Copied my husbands blackberry for his b-day. Waaay harder and more time consuming than I thought it would be! Choc WASC with whipped BC and Rhondas ultimate MMF (my apostrophe still doesnt work!) All edible.
