I made a really nice black cat in color flow for this cake, but broke it before I got ready to use it. I had to pipe the cat outline and fill it in with stars. It gave the cat a nice texture.

This is a 1/2 sheet cake that I made for Dr Seuss' birthday celebration. It is made of 2 different 1/4 sheet cakes. One is a white cake with cherry filling (don't know how that will taste, but it's what the client wanted). The other is a devil's food cake with chocolate fudge filling. The cat in the hat and the things are frozen buttercream transfers. I normally don't like to put sprinkles on a cake, but I think it really worked well on this one. The sides of the cake have red, blue, and yellow swirls

I made this cake for my son's class who did an all day Cat in the Hat party! It was vanilla and strawberry cake (so the inside was striped too!) iced all in buttercream with royal icing characters all around. It was a big hit at school!

Both of my sons' schools celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday. As a former English teacher, I wanted this to be a memorable occasion for my children and their peers. The idea was reading can be fun and that the pages in the book come to life.

I made this cake for a friends little girl. I believe that this was originally a Debbie Brown creation. I used the wonder mold pan for the ball, and covered it with MMF. What a LONG process. I might try piping buttercream next time!

This was a Fr. vanilla cake with butter cream icing that was designed to look like an action scene. The scene is suppose to look like Cat Woman bat signals Batman because Joker is getting away as Cat Woman tries to catch him after calling Batman. It was for a 5 yr.old and his Mom gave us some old Mc Donalds play toys and said create something with Batman and add these toys, so this is what we came up with. It was cute.

I loved how this cake came out (not to toot my own horn), but i was really worried about how to do the characters. Ended up making them out of cookies (some of which I used my fondant cutter to just create myself) and am really glad I did. Buttercream icing on cake, royal icing on cookies.

This cake was for my children's birthday (they are both born in March). We had a joint pretend sleepover party and all the kids wore thier PJs. At the bottom of the bed is our black cat. Everything is MMF, except for the headboard which are wafer crackers. I would do that differently next time. This was my first cake working with fondant and I think it turned out pretty well.

This is the 'Baby in the bath' cake topper I did in class with Maisie Parrish. Had great fun doing this. Would have preferred to have some 'drying' time for the bath, but as it was all done in one class, we couldn't wait!

The stand was made of styrofoam that I carved and then covered with fondant. There is a pvc pipe that is going through the middle of the cat with a fitting on the top and bottom boards so it looks like the cake on top is actually sitting on the hat.

This is part of my first state side order. It was a baby shower for three seperate people. They only paid 40 dollars for all three cakes but I need to get my name out there somehow so I took it on. All of the decorations are candy clay and fondant

First attempt of Hello Kitty. They wanted it coverd in buttercream, dress, bow, ears are mmf. This serves approx. 50 people. Next time I would trim the sides more so she wasn't so fat.
