This was my first attempt at a castle cake. The little girl's fav color is purple! I used a cookie cutter to cut the towers, but I think it was too short to make perfect layers. Oh, well...the customer was really pleased!

This was my first castle cake and I was very happy at how it turned out. The main building is 8X8X5 in Vanilla Butter cake with Bevarian chocolat cream filling. It was for a 12yr old boy's birthday. The father had ordered the figures online and asked me to work them into the design. You can't tell in the pic but there are little guys in the towers that you can see through the doorways and in the main door behind the gate.

I had alot of help with castle pics on cc so, many nods to you.
After 17 trys of perfecting a good crusting bc, I did it and tinted it pink.
Marshmallow were sprayed with the wilton pink. The cones and papertowel
sticks were covered with fondant and colored with pink petal dust and pearl
dust.

This was made for a darling girl who turned 6 today. She told me she wanted a purple castle to match the princess themed jumping castle she had at her birthday party.

Bottom tier is white chocolate coconut mud with whipped white ganache, top tier is dark chocolate mud with Chambord liqueur and whipped chocolate ganache and rasberries. Covered in fondant, all the turrets, and details made with modelling paste and royal icing vines and flowers.

this is a 4-layer 8" strawberry cake and 3-layer wilton class oval (what size is that?) all iced with buttercream. It was a disaster-repair, which is why there are only 2 towers and the top and bottom don't match. The birthday princess was very happy though.

This cake was made for my two nieces "Princess Party". It is a 8" and 12" tier. I looked at several castle cakes on this site and kinda combined several tips and ideas to get the finished product. The best part was letting my nieces help make the cake. They loved it.

My daughter saw this cake on a Debbie Brown website (my daughter loves dragons) and had to have this cake! I was able to get Ms. Brown's book Marigal Cakes, which has all the directions on how to do this, since this was my first 3-D scrulpted cake ever! Her directions are clear and easy to follow. My daughter loved it!

Client requested a "Cake for Two" (6") playful beach themed sand castle cake for 50th anniversary. I asked if a crab couple would be fun and she agreed! It was fun to make and easy. Chocolate Shells, Fondant Critters and Brown Sugar Sand. Top tier is a ice cream cone.

This is a simple 8" chocoalte round cake iced with BC. Background is airbrushed with puple. The castle is made of fondant and dried on flower formers to stand up from the cake. Letters are also (purple) fondant. All fondant was coated with Super Pearl (my new best friend), quilted side design with lots of dragees all over the place! This was a fast and fun one to put together last night.

Another castle cake but this time in purple. I also remembered the flags at the top of the turrets before I took the picture this time. I like this cake and it isn't too difficult.

This is my 1st castle cake. I drew inspiration from a the Disney Pincess Castle cake from DecoPac and a cake design from Wilton booklet Cake Decorating Beginner's Guide ( Make Her Dream Come True ). It didnt travel well at all, I hit every bump in the road between my house and 4 blocks to the customers. I was having a cow and four kittens by the time I got there!

This is my 3rd attempt at this cake, for the same family.

This time I used a 9 inch square pan which I cut down to about an 8 inch and used the spare to give me the 2nd floor. I covered shop bought mini swiss rolls for the turrets and put purple sprinkles on the base of the turret roof using butter cream.

This cake is easier than it looks and when I have more time I will upload the other 2 photos.

The cake was a 10 inch square cut into quarters and stacked on top of each other. The turrets were shop bought swiss rolls, 3 for each.

What was the comment from my son? Oh Mummy? No it was there are 3 guards in the picture in the book! He did like it though.

The sheet cake is a light lemon cake with raspberry filling. The wave is carved from a white chocolate pound cake. Frosted in buttercream, with graham cracker crumb sand. The people are buttercream, the sand castle is made from a buttercream/graham cracker paste, and the surf board and shells are candy melts. Footprints and "happy birth day" (for my brand new newphew's birth day (7-28-06)) were drawn in the sand. thanks for looking!

This cake is the Snickerdoodle cake with cinnamon buttercream that I found in one of the posts. The recipe is from The Cake Mix Dr. book and it is good (though very cinnamon-y). I frosted with buttercream and did chocolate transfers for the castle, dragon, and unicorn.
