Dark Chocolate cake with BC layers. Covered and decorated in fondant.
For my nieces 4th birthday. All she wanted was a pink and blue castle. Turrets were difficult to transport ( WAY to top heavy)but that goodness I had my repair kit ready. I need to figure out how to weight them If anyone has any ideas I'm listening!

I made this cake for my daughters 1st birthday. I used the Wiltons Castle Cake kit. 2 10" round cakse for the base, and 2 6" cakes for the top. Buttercreme icing, then spray on coloring for the ping and purple. The dent in this one is from one of the towers falling over and I tried to repair it. This was my first attempt at a castle cake.

This is my very 1st attempt at a 3-d type cake. I have done cakes in a wilton shaped pan before, but this was a first for fondant also. I had some issues but it was a learning expience for me. The walls are all fondant with buttercream and royal icing decorations. I got a lot of inspiration from browsing pic's on this site. this cake was for a 4 yr old girl. She did not mind the lack of experience she just saw a castle and thought it was neat.

This is a square cake with sugar and cake cone towers, using marshmallow as support (which I do not advise).

I made this cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday. The turrets on the top tier weighed it down quite a bit and made it look lopsided, so next time I will have to figure out a different way of supporting them, but other than that, the cake was a hit! A big THANK YOU to the user who posted the tutorial on www.cakeboss.com!!!

this was a 12" round and a 6" round (double layers), BC, and that Wilton Castle kit. I was a little rushed on it, so it wasn't quite as FABULOUS as I had imaginesd it... but I still had fun doing it.

This is a castle cake I made for my niece. I got lots of inspiration from this site. Thanks for being so talented and inspiring! First time working with fondant. I ended up buying a little barbie to use because my princess turned out to look like a "blonde Fiona from Shrek", as my husband put it. :-) Not pretty!

Learned a lot from doing this cake. What a crumb coat is, why you should use clear vanilla, and start early to allow for unforeseen problems. It was fun despite all little mishaps. Yellow cake, Wilton design, and BC frosting.
