First time in using the Wilton Castle kit. I like the results, but think that the kit can be improved on in design. I didn't use all of the pieces though since we did a 6" and 10". Buttercream with fondant flowers and LOTS of edible glitter.

To celebrate her birthday, this little 5yo wanted a Cinderella castle. Two 9" rounds and two 6" rounds. Turrets are cake ice cream cones stuck together at the bottoms with sugar cones on top, sprayed with edilbe food color. Icing is buttercream with mmf accents and a PollyPocket doll.

3 layers of 9x13 (Vanilla, Yellow, and Darn good chocolate). 2 thick layers of 6 inch round (Yellow and Darn Good Chocolate). Iced in all butter vanilla BC. Stones are made of fondant. Windows filled with RI. Door fell off the table and lost most of the RI that was on it! :( The turrets are wrapped in fondant cut with that wavy wilton roller thing! My niece absolutely adored it! She was jumping up and down and saying "I love my cake, I love my cake!" That is what we like to hear right?

This cake is covered in fondx. Bottom tier is 8" round and the top is 6" round. Each tier is probably 5-6" tall. The castle is rice crispies and the columns are plastic cake stand dowels. All covered in fondx with fondx accents. The butterflies and flowers are also fondx.

I did a double sided castle for my niece and nephew's joint b-day party. I wanted then to each have their own cake, but my sister only wanted me to make one. And, of course, my niece wanted an orange castle with princesses! So, this is the orange castle and if you turn the cake around, it's a knight's castle.

This was done for a girl whose bday falls on "Devil's night" They were doing a halloween theme and thought that since she likes the princesses, it would be cute to make a villian castle with the princesses locked up inside. I used the wilton castle kit. The figures were bought at the dollar store. I used princess stickers and royal icing to make the windows look like they had bars over them. I have done princess cakes before but this one was alot more fun!! TFL

I made this for my daughter's 6th birthday. I am glad to be done! If I ever do this cake for a paying client I am charging a lot of money! Talk about time consuming! Anyway, the birthday girl just loved it and I am very happy with it as well! Thanks to Mypastrychef for her beautiful design!

For the joint birthday party of my son who turned 6, and my niece who turned 3. He's into construction and she's into princesses. So what better - a cake where a princess castle is being built! French vanilla cake and BC throughout, the castle is covered in fondant using a brick impression mat. Cobblestone impression mat for the road and patio. Gumpaste for the signage. The landscaping was a holiday pick that I cut up. The mud pit is BC with graham cracker and oreo crumbs mixed in. Thanks for looking!

Someone at work wanted a "pink, princess" cake but didn't specify what they wanted. Well, thank you to all the CC'ers who made some kind of castle cake in the past. You inspired me to make this. I'm not 100% happy w/ the turrets (one is leaning slightly) but I know what I'll do different next time. All BC w/ RI flowers.

What a nightmare ~ if it could go wrong it did!! ALL buttercream except for the door which is chocolate. The turrets started out as rice crispy treats ~ they melted somehow and fell away from the cake ~ so I had to switch to Ice Cream Cones. Cake is 3 layers ~ 2 french vanilla ~ 1 strawberry. ANY tips you can pass along would be greatly appreciated due to the fact I have to make another one in two weeks.

Thank you for looking.

This birthday cake turned out ok, but I had some trouble with the tower. I think it would have been a little better if I had stopped while I was ahead. I feel like it was a little 'over done.'
