Stacked round and square cakes iced with buttercream and "stone" pattern put on with impression mat; turretts are rice crispy treats covered with fondant; tops of center turretts are ice cream cones covered in fondant; floral design on turretts drawn with food markers; other details in fondant and piped buttercream.

For my daughter's 4th birthday she wanted a castle cake. It's a 10" and a 6" covered in pink swiss meringue. Turets are ice cream cones covered in white chocolate covered in colored sugars and sprinkles. Towers are actually cardboard tubes from foil wrap which covered them! Thanks for looking!

After finishing the carriage cake, I had no more juice to complete this one. So the cone was left uncovered and gave the cake very little details. Still, it brought a smile to my 5 yr old. So what can I say?

This birthday girl wanted a winter themed cake, so I came up with a snowy castle cake for her. All decorations are made of fondant and were made by hand. To see more pics, go to: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=277627301

This was my first try with the Wilton Castle set. The castle set was definitely not as user friendly as their other products, but it was a learning experience. Since I decorated pretty much immediately before it was served, the "snow" around the bottom layer is whipped cream.

This cake was on the front cover of the Wilton 2008 Yearbook. I was asked to make it for a 4 year old's birthday. It is a 10" round on bottom and 6" round on top. I used the Wilton castle cake set for the pillars. They are decorated with royal icing. The cake is iced with buttercream icing and the flowers are made from fondant.

This was for a 4th bday. Bottom layer is yellow cake with chocolate fillng (my absolute favorite!). The top layer and the cylinder towers are rice crispy treats. The blue spires are ice cream cones filled with more rice crisy treats. Everything is covered with marshmallow fondant and pearl dust. The flags are gumpaste with thin wire wrapped around so they rested on top of the spires.

The idea of this cake came from a cake that Sugarshack did . My DGD pick the cake for her 5th birthday, but wanted to add some changes. She pick the colors of teal, pink & yellow. She also wanted butterflies in place of the bows. 8in.,6in. & a 1 layer 4in. iced in BC, with fondant & bc decorations. This cake was very fun to make (I had never done a castle before) because my DGD got to add her 10 cents in the design & decoration, she love her cake. TFL, God Bless, Sharon
