Thanks to aminton for her help in making this cake - since I totally stole her design!! But she was a great help in tracking down the molds, etc. Groom actually works on the grounds crew for the Cardinals in his spare time - so he is a true fan! Thanks for looking!!

Lesson #1 class DO NOT take a picture of your cake while it is upside down!! It will NOT look right when you rotate it!!LOL!! Anyway - other than the crazy camara shot - i think it turned out great and the groom loved it!! Thanks for looking!

This was only my second time covering a cake in fondant, and my first hat cake. Bill is gumpaste molded over a real hat bill that I let dry for about five days. Baseball cap is Pink Champagne cake covered in red Satin Ice. 14" round iced in buttercream with the grass tip. I LOVE this cake, I think it turned out great!

My husband and I made this cake for my Dad's birthday. The kids represented in the trailer are his grandkids. :) All the figures on the top of the cake are molded from fondant. The bird bath has blue piping gel in it. The grass and icing is buttercreme. The cake itself is a three-layer WASC cake with lemon creme and buttercreme icing fillings. It was so much fun to make!

This is a cake I did for my Grandmother's funeral... I never had the chance to design one for her Birthday, so I thought this would be a nice tribute to her. The cake is covered in buttercream and all of the decorations are made with fondant.

All is edible on this cake except for the players. buttercream, colorflow, fondant, graham cracker crumbs, and rice krispie treats. My 6 year old son *had* to have baseball players on his cake, and thus the theme of the cake was born. It was a lot of fun to make, but I have to say, I do NOT like to work with chocolate MMF. grrr...

The bottom half of the drum was styrofoam. The bears are baked in the build a bear official cake pan. (note: the legs face forward) They loved it. Please let me know what you think.

This is for my husband's birthday. He is a huge Cardinal's fan. This was also my first attempt at chocolate ganache, with I used under the fondant. Wasn't perfect. Not exactly sure what I did wrong, but I will keep trying! The L is airbrushed.

This cake was for a deployment party for an airborne ranger. His wife gave me a description of what she wanted. My friend said there was a cake very similiar to this on tv, but I never got to see it. The base is 2 half sheet i carved. The baseball is cake with the mini ball pan. The hat was done with the ball pan and a 6"round. The glove was a carved 8" round. The bat and popcorn box was done in RKT. Lots of fun!
