This was the cake I made for my Son's 5th birthday. I could have done a better job on the railings but I ran out of time.

I used chocolate frosting on a 9x13 cake, construction trucks, crushed OREOS for dirt, Teddy Graham workers decorated with orange royal frosting, and cracker sticks for logs.

Just did this today. The simple 3 tier cake was surrounded by fresh wheatgrass on the display table. Reminded me of Easter a bit! I wish I had put the cake on a higher stand though, as the bottom tier was nearly swallowed up by the long grass!

I did two practice wedding cakes before I did this cake. I was very pleased with the outcome of the official cake. One side cake was choc with rasberry mousse, the other side cake was white with strawberry mousse, the 14" was choc with choc mousse, the 10" was white with strawberry mousse and the 6" was choc with choc mousse. I did all the flower arrangements for the cake as well.

I've planned to spend couple of days including Father's Day at the mountains with my whole family. So I decided to bake the cake at home and decorate it while vacationing the night before Father's Day. Saturday night to my big surprise, I found out that my hubby left home the bag with most of the trimmings needed for the cake's decoration. At this point, I am five hours away from home and no cake decoration stores around and very frustrated...still today....very frustrated....

I am not a cake professional, so please be considerate! :~) I only do themed cakes for my son and daughter's birthdays. I used the detailed directions on this site (THANK YOU) to make Spiderman. He is not perfect AT ALL, but my son (and everyone at his party) LOVED it!
I love that he loved it!

This is the smash cake that went with the tiered pink teddy bear cake. Daddy calls the little one "Piglet" so they requested a pig on the smash cake. Cake was vanilla with strawberry buttercream also. Pig was done with Kathy Finholt's glaze method.

I made this cake for a Parish Manager who was retiring after 37 years of employment. He raises show horses so I made a horseshoe cake with a 1st place blue ribbon on it for him. The cake was half chocolate, half creamy vanilla; icing in buttercream flavored with butavan. Letters and blue ribbon were made from MMF.

This is my first decorating experience. This was made for my step-brother for his 13th birthday.

It's a cupcake cake. Decorated with whipped frosting. Then airbrushed with green and green sprinkles for grass. The jumps are also make out of a half of a cupcake. The track is Nilla Waffers and Oreo cookies smashed.

Thanks for looking...

This was my first attempt with a diamond or quilted pattern. I used the plastic impression that is available which made it easy. The bride wanted no more than 2 inches between tiers so I used styrofoam to separate and insert the roses into. Problem was that the stems were pretty flaccid and it took a while to insert them!

Found this idea on the web! Was fun to do but took a while to decorate due to being a new challenge to me! Everything was decorated in buttercream. Flowers were fondant. I make these up whenever I have extra fondant then I always have flowers when I need them.

Butter cake with buttercream icing and red and blue mm fondant. This is first time I have EVER entered a cake contest. I have never taken lessons, just what I have learned from this wonderful site.

I made this cake for all of the people helping my parents move into their new house. Top cake is double choc chunk with rasberry filling. Bottom cake is also double choc chunk but with vanilla filling. Both cakes are covered with BC icing and this is my first attempt at MMF roses.

This was my first MMF wedding cake. It was regular white cake, with a crumb coat of buttercream that was flavored with butavan then the MMF. It was a really simple cake in design. I was shocked at the cake topper the bride chose. It wouldn't have been my choice! lol

I made this cake for my neighbor's wife... it is a white cake that I added some edible confetti bits to (just to add some color in the inside). The outside was crumb coated with buttercream, the covered with MMF. I cut the heart shapes out after I put the MMF on the cake. Then I cut out the hearts shapes in different colors and put back into the cutouts.. smaller hearts were placed on top of the larger heart cutouts and really small hearts were placed randomly all over the cake

I made this cake for our office custodian. He's such a nice guy! The cake is a dark chocolate that I added sour cream and an extra egg too .. recipe was from the cake doctor book ... I used a 6" round pan which I sculpted the top edge of the cake. Then I used a mini wondermold on top of the round pan. I used buttercream icing and filled it all in and got the shape I wanted.. I covered in MMF. Tthe handle is MMF with a dowel stick rolled up in it and pushed into the cake :)
