This was my DH graduation cake. The bottom was made from a small metal mixing bowl & the mortar was an 8in square cake. I saw it in a book & thought I would try it.

well, they are kind of Celtic! I painted a broomstick black & cut it into pieces for the pipes. The mouthpiece is a chopstick painted black. The black plastic pipe knobs were 25 cents at a plumbing store. The tassles were 50 cents at a local fabric store.

for the retirement party of a vw repairman. I used the Wilton VW bug pan, but didn't want to use an outer buttercream icing. I cut the cake in half, filled it with a thin layer of buttercream, masked it in buttercream, froze it solid for 4 hours and then easily moulded it with rolled fondant instead. The decorations are fondant and gumpaste.

I made the little flowers using gumpaste and a tiny flower punch cutter. SO fast to make a lot at once!

I prepared this cake on a short notice as I forgot his birthday (shame on me!) He is a pianist, so I wanted to make a piano cake for him. I sculptured the piano as I do not have that baking pan I also tried the piano bench but it did not work! Final ending... he loved his piano cake.

Based on a design on the CakesbySam website, this was a white cake designed to have the colors and emblem of the golf course the groom belonged to. His initials and nickname are going down the right side of cake. The balls have the course emblem and the tees have the wedding couples name and date on them.

This was my first cake ever. I found it in a Debby Brown book and couldn't resist. As you can see I didn't know about modeling paste so the egg's came out a little droppy. Now I know for next time!

From today's wedding. 6", 9" and 12" rounds of Dark Chocolate, Tahitian Vanilla and Strawberry-Vanilla.

There are tiny dots piped on the sides, but it's really hard to see them!

I hate putting a satin ribbon around buttercream tiers, but here I had to, so I cut the strips of waxed paper and put them around each tier first...then slipped the ribbon on top.

This was the cake I made this Easter. It was a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. The frosting that broke my 1st mixer!! I must have been stressed because when I titled the picture notice that I labeled it Easter Cake 1995 instead of Easter cake 2005..........lol.
