4 layers (chocolate and french vanilla). Strawberry filling. Fondant covered over a think layer of Buttercream. Drumsticks make of candy cane "bones" surrounded by rice crispie treats covered in fondant. Entire thing airbrushed with orange base and brown cover coat. Stuffing of yellow cake with brown food coloring cubed to be small like croutons. Yum!

I was asked to do a wedding cake by my church for someone they were helping out. So I did this just for the cost of supplies. It is yellow and chocolate cake on each layer with baverian cream filling. Fondant roses and MMF for the cake. There is a lot I learned about doing a wedding cake. Please tell me what you think, good or bad that is how you learn to do better!

I rolled the top layer fondant a little too thin and it showed the bumps of the cake underneath in some spots. The roses were easy to do, but time consuming, and I really got tired of making so many. Overall I like the way it tuned out.

This is the cake I made for my final class for Wilton's Course 3. I decided to go a little different than the recommended cake. Cake is marble cake covered with buttercream then MMF. Royal icing petunias and butter cream decoration. The leaves are actually a bit lighter than the picture shows. The dowelling was a LOT easier than I thought it would be! I really enjoyed making this cake and how it turned out. This helped boost my confidence a lot!!

This is my other mermaid...... I have g/b/g triplets so I made two of these for their 5th birthday. Anyway, this was my first ever fondant attempt; I used MMF and it was so easy to work with. I'll definitely be delving more!

My first attempt at covering NFSC with fondant and RI details. Cookies for a friend's 30th birthday. My piping needs a lot of work, I tend to shake, but I had fun anyway.

(I apologize for the dark photo) This cake was made for a "Spring Book Swap Brunch." The cake ended up quite small, as I kept cutting and cutting to shape it... but it still adequately fed the bunch. Next time I will attempt to create the leather-book-cover look that some talented folks on this site have created.

I made this cake for my sister's birthday. She loves yellow, and she also like daisies. I made her favortie recipe and she loved it! I am slowly getting better at this! This time my buttercream was fairly smoother than the last times I tried....thanks to my new buddy: the pastry comb with a smooth edge!!!! I am very pleased.
