Picture is of a light blue fondant-covered cake with slice sitting on top. This was a first attempt at this type of cake. I learned a lot from the experience and the next one should turn out even better. The decorations are all made in fondant with a little buttercream accents.

This was my first wedding cake. French vanilla cake with strawberry filling. All BC except for fondant roses. (Similar to the taste test cake in my album.) I was glad to have practiced once because I learned that you have to make the dam icing REALLY stiff when using a filling. (It was squishing out a bit on my practice cake.) I'm glad I did because the cake table was in front of the window and the sun heated it for more than two hours before they cut the cake. Thankfully the icing didn't melt and slide off

My little man requested a "camping and fishing" 6th birthday party. The cake is based on a design from the 2005 Wilton Yearbook using buttercream, fondant, royal, and piping gel in addition to sugar cones, graham crackers, pretzels, Swedish Fish, a gummy turtle, and dental floss! The fondant figures each looked like a party guest. I had quite a few "issues" with this cake -- buttercream was too thin, royal was too thick, the fondant body parts wouldn't stick together -- but overall this cake was a blast!

This was my first time using fondant and I'm still learning. I definately didn't like the taste of Wilton's fondant. I did enjoy making the bow and cut outs much better than covering the cake. Thanks for looking and God Bless.

This was for my most favorite baby boy. He turned two and he is a true obsessed fan of the movie Cars. This was my first carved cake covered in fondant- I was proud of the work. I should have made the wheels the day before, but hey, it was for a two year old!

My best friends daughter REALLY wanted a beaver cake for her 6th birthday. It amused us to no end to hear "I wanna eat the beaver!" from a group of kids. Yes... twisted. No.. not my fault. This woul dhave been a WHOLE lot better had I not just been coming off a 12 hour shift, and had to make it at home in 45 minutes, get changed, and get the cake the 20 miles to her house. Next time.. cake the night ahead.. or do it at work.

One of my friends ordered this for her parent's Anniversary. I got this idea from one of the cakes on this site, and thought it was really cute. I liked the idea so I mixed it up with my own style and cute-ness. It turned out beautiful. Its a red velvet cake w/ cream cheese frosting using MM fondant. The flowers and ribbon are fondant too.

This is a birthday cake I did for this weekend - obviously for a little girl who loves Hannah Montana! The top tier is french vanilla cake with chocolate fudge filling and the bottom tier is chocolate cake with peanut butter cream filling. Hope she likes it!
I can't take credit for the design, I borrowed heavily from someone on Flickr who has awesome cakes - go check out atasteofwhimsy!

My friend ordered a Mario Bros cake for their wedding cake (they R big gamers) & everyone kept asking if it was their grooms cake. Then she found out I did cakes & asked me if I could make a grooms cake, but make it look like a wedding cake. I was delighted seeing as it would be my 1st wedding cake. She showed me a pic of a square cake w/green hearts & asked if I could do round cakes w/red hearts instead. Thanks Jacque, Melvira and to all who helped make this happen.
