The first Elmo cake was such a hit I had to make another.... So here it is! I did a lot of changes, like elmo popping out of the cake, the letters and numbers are smaller, but more of them, and the crayons are a little different too. I also changed the bottom layer so it had 3-D tree trunks, and make icing tree tops and icing clouds. I felt the icing gave it more of a realistic look. The entire cake is fondant or icing, except the yellow pieces at the top those are 50/50 fondant/gumpaste.... The cake is yellow cake with a simple white vanilla/almond icing. Please tell me what you think?

My first half sheet cake, made for a friend/co-worker's birthday. Her favorite color is blue, so I did blue roses (a little un-natural but not too weird I hope). Chocolate cake with BC frosting and flowers.

The pillow cake and booties were made using a tutorial and template from CC (i love all you people who help out us newbies with such great resources. My second time doing a pillow cake and second time doing gum paste shoes (last was heels). I'm not thrilled with the way some of it turned out (some technical difficulties shall we say). But I do love my Buttons! All decorations made with 50/50 fondant/gum paste.

Smaller wedding cake I delivered today. She had a topper but I waited around awhile and it didn't show up so oh well, they can stick it on there. Whipped buttercream and (last minute!) gumpaste petals and leaves. Royal icing centers.

I seen the design for the flowers on this cake here on CC. I am so sorry, I don't remember who's design it was. I had such a hard time trying to come up with something, because they said they just wanted a "basic" sheet cake and didn't care what it had on so long as it didn't come from a grocery store. I spent time here at CC looking for something and seen these flowers and thought they were pretty. So thank you to the person who's idea these flowers were.

I had wanted to incorporate more flowers that I had learned, including the rose - but do to high humidity (97%) the icing would NOT cooperate. I ended up using sweet peas, vines and leaves. My kids thought it was great, but they liked it because they got to eat it.

This was my first wedding cake and the first time I've worked with squre cakes. It was definitely a learning experience! The top three tiers were vanilla sponge cakes. The bottom tier was a 16" dummy that was a lot of trouble to cover with the fondant, but it turned out well in the end.

We had a surprise baby shower for my brother and my sister-in-law who were visiting from out of town. I based the cake and cupcakes on my daughter's cute little teddy bear that she received as a gift from my brother and sister-in-law.

I originally had another design planned for this cake but I changed it completely when I realized that design would not work. I seem to get a lot of last minute inspirations at 11pm at night! Thanks for looking.

I used a new filling with a gelatin and preserve mixture and overload bottom layer, ended in a red grainy bc frosting. It was extremelly hot that night, bc didn´t cooperate, so I couldn´t have a smooth finish. The color didn´t helped... I hated it!! :-( . I´m practiing for my two friends´ wedding cake, now I´m really nervous.

This is a topsy turvy cake made for a 10 year old birthday girl. It is two layers of 8 inch cake and two layers of 6 inch cake. They are covered in marshmallow fondant and all of the accents are marshmallow fondant as well. This was my second topsy turvy...I still have learning to do!

The bride and groom served cupcakes at their wedding but wanted a small cutting cake to feed each other and keep for their anniversary. The blue of the cake matched the bridesmaid dresses and the roses matched the brides bouquet.
