I'm too impatient to roll the little cake balls (and I like them small so even my small ice cream scoop is a bit big for me), so I rolled it between parchment, then froze it and cut them up - can't wait to try it when I have more time and I'm not rushing - these would be great cut out with cookie cutters and yopu could just smoosh the excess back to gether and roll out again!

This cake was one disaster after another. It was supposed to be three candles from a jelly roll style cake. But that cracked everywhere. Then I baked 3 cakes in soup cans, but only 1 came out. So I used the one and turned the rest into cake balls. Orange Dreamesicle cake with vanilla buttercream.

This is my second time making cake truffle balls. Love em'! The white ones are fresh strawberry cake covered in white chocolate. The dark ones are yellow cake with caramel and chopped pecan, covered in milk chocolate. These are for a housewarming party today. Also make a wine boottle cake and want to make sure there is enough cake for everyone.

I made tons of cake balls today for work. I needed to empty my freezer of cake scraps!! I don't know what if any of this tastes good but I just experimented with stuff.

The coconut ones are yellow cake with coconut extract dipped in white chocoalte and rolled in coconut. The smore ones are chocolate cake surrounding a mini marshmallow dipped in milk chocolate and rolled in graham cracker crumbs.

I made this for my husband's 40th birthday party this past weekend in addition to his surprise oreo cookie cake. This was all done in the same weekend I had a wedding cake that served 300 people. Needless to say, I threw this tower together at 11:00 Saturday night not worrying too much that the styrofoam was showing (next time I will coat the cone with chocolate first). Seeing the styrofoam really bothers me!

These are cake balls that I taught my mom to make. I usually throw the extra cake away because when I'm done doing a large cake, the last thing I want to do is make more! So I taught mom to make them and she was very pleased with them. This batch was almond cake with hazelnut creamer, covered in candy melts chocolate, which I had on hand, with ground up almonds in it. They were very good! She's already talked about her "next" batch. :)
