bugs bunny cake with an easter touch. i added some eggs since it's so close to easter. vanilla with white chocolate ganache. i cheated a little bit. i run out of patience. it taked waaaayyyy too many carrots to cover the cake! so, i used orange BC to pipe most of the carrots first and the added fondant carrots on top.
i love debbie brown! i have only two of her books so far, but i will end up with everything she ever puts out there.

I had a ton of BC left in the fridge from my Cars cake and needed something to take to a spring party, so I whipped up these. I got the design from marsbrightideas.com - bugs are made from malted milk balls/mini "robin's eggs." Not my neatest job, but the kids couldn't care less!

I baked the ladybug's body in a large pyrex bowl. The head is half the ball pan, cut to fit against the body. The antenne and legs are fondant.

Needed to do a quick cake, so what better cake to do than one of Debbie Brown's 50 easy cakes. This time I didn't forget my camera, I just forgot to put the memory stick back in it. So once again I had to take the picture with the camera on my phone, hence blurred photo. Any way cake is really a brownie with BC and fondant to cover and for details. P.S. the little yellow things are the patels of the flower, just incase another person mistakes them as lady bug legs?

Made for a friend who had an unfortunate run-in with some bedbugs this year...at least they're gone now! I covered this in fondant for the first time ever and it went really well i think. Red velvet with cream cheese frosting, fondant bugs.

This cake was done for a special birthday party. The recipient is a gardener so bugs were requested. The design was partially taken from a cake seen in a local cake shop window, but modified to be more cartoonish. Thanks to andrealinn for bug inspiration. I really enjoyed doing this one despite the late night!

This cake was to go with the caterpillar cake. The customer requested a blue and green bug. It started out as a beetle, but looks more like a tick! The customer was happy with both cakes.

I made this for a friend. Made MMF using a mixture of MM and MM fluff (ran out ot marshmallows!) and even though it tasted great, the consistency was a little softer than when I make the reguar MMF. I wasn't 100% happy because it bulged a little at the bottom; I guess because it was a little too soft. I hope she likes it! Thanks for looking!

White almond sour cream cake with vanilla almond buttercream and chocolate clay decorations. This cake was amazingly moist, did not crumb at all, and was delicious. Worked on the flowers and figures for a week, and it turned out even more beautiful than I had hoped for.

I was asked to make 6 cookie boquets for a local business in town. This was scary, because I had never done anything other than cake. I think they turned out okay for a first timer!

These ladybug cupcakes were made for twin girls' birthdays. They were displayed in a cupcake stand. The wings are made from leveling the tops of the cupcakes, then cutting the top in 1/2.

This was my son's 7th b-day cake. The easiest cake I have ever done. Base is a 9x13 with a hill made from pampered chef batter bowl. Frosted with chocolate buttercream and smashed oreos on top for dirt. My son put the bugs and snakes on it. It was a hit! All the kids loved it.

This design came from "Socake". A big thanks to her for graciously sharing her work with us. Mom-to-be loved this lady bug, which matched her bedding theme. I sliced an 8" styrafoam ball for bug body and covered w/ plastic wrap, then fondant. Painted eyelashes and pupils. Antennae are painted lollipop sticks, with balls of fondant. Choc. cake with mint choc. chip ice cream. Iced with vanilla ice cream, tinted whipped cream borders. Surprise layer of chocolate ganached mixed with crushed oreo cookies

I made these sugar cookies (Penny's recipe) for my friend's brother-in-law's
birthday. I used Americolor colors for the 1st time - I like the squirt bottle!
All have royal icing. Some of the details were painted on.

My son's smash cake to go along witht he large bug cake I made for his party. This one was intended for the top of the larger cake but I was so afraid the large one would implode! How in the world do you keep that from happening? I was stressing out!! it did make it but it lost a good inch or two in height and grew in width!! anyways, here is the little smash bug which my son DEMOLISHED...he knew just what to do, he was not shy at all!!!
