I created a 2 dimensional VW beetle for a 16 year old. The flowers are made from MMF and the windows were covered with Luster Dust. This cake had a fender bender on the way to the party... Luckily, there was minor damage!

For a first birthday. I made a 6 inch cake and then put the left over batter into the pampered chef measuring cup to make the lady bug bump. I used a glob of MMF for the face then covered in buttercream. (cheated on the black and red, bought the wilton pre made)

This cake was made for a friend of my mom's at work. She loves the grumpy bug book/cartoon on nickelodeon........so my mom wanted it for the theme on her birthday cake......the grumpy bug, mushrooms, clouds, grass, etc. are all made of white and milk chocolate and the cake is iced in buttercream

A last minute cake for my daughters birthday. Chocolate cake with fondant icing and licorice wheels for spots. Originally it was piped buttercream, but looked a complete mess so took that off and used coloured fondant instead,

This is my first cake for a client! It was for a baby's 1st birthday. The largest cake is white cake with strawberry cheesecake filling, the medium cake is chocolate fudge cake with chocolate cheese cake filling and Creamy Chocolate Frosting from the recipe section here, and the small cake for the baby is white cake. The two larger cakes are covered in Easy Marshmallow Fondant and the ladybugs were made from fondant and I painted them with food coloring. Lots of fun!!

!st Birthday cake. The beehive was actually the smashcake. I did this so long ago, I can't remember the flavor of cake! Cake is iced in imbc and the bugs and flowers are fondant. The cake is also wrapped in rickrack and ribbon. TFL!

This birthday cake was inspired by my client wanting roses on the cake and her daughter (the birthday girl wanting Bugs Bunny) They both got what they wanted. :)

This was my 3 yr old daughters favorite cake. I let her pick everything out. She choose a lady bug and wanted lemon cake with choc. frosting. It was actually really good and everyone loved it. She still talks about it.

This is the goodbye cake that I made for my son's speech therapy clinic. They are closing their doors for good on friday. I am bringing it in tomorrow. Let's just say I feel a tear fest coming on! =0)

These were made for a silent auction for tomorrow night, which looks like it will be postponed because of snow! No snow all year and now we get it in March! So, I'll either have to freeze them or make new ones next week. They are sugar cookies with royal icing. I don't think you can notice, but I had lots of problems with the icing being very dull and uneven.

This is an 8" square iced in buttercream with fondant decorations. The grandmother was making a quilt with all these lil guys on it and asked if I could copy it.

This little girl wanted a pink punch bug for her birthday cake. The plates and napkins had butterflies and flowers. Thanks for everyone who posted their pictures. They were great inspiration!

No, this is not for a belated Halloween but for a young lady's birthday. Evidently she likes creepy things. The top tier is krispy treat because the birthday girl doesn't like cake!?!?! The snake is MMF and the beetles are chocolate dipped almonds.

Finally, here's the bouquet for my daughters' school silent auction ( it was postponed from last week due to a snow storm). I decided not to use the frozen cookies that I made last week and I did new ones yesterday. Curious to see how much it makes. All sugar cookies (Penny's recipe) with royal icing.

Here is my future sister in laws bridal shower cake I did for her...The topper is acutally a Christmas ornament, but because my brother's nick-name is Bug and they are dressed in wedding attire, it was the perfect topper for this cake. 3 Tiers, 10, 8, 6 and I think each layer was different, white, chocolate, and carrot cake...the flowers are my first attempt at gumpaste....

Did this for a baby shower - nursery decor was green dragonflies, so I worked them in as best I could with a 'garden' theme cake. Bugs are fondant, dragonfly wings are gumpaste, flowers are gumpaste. Iced in buttercream. The 'baby' on top of the cake has dragonfly wings, and is sitting on top of open flower petals to look like it's 'hatching' from a flower. Many thanks to all the cakes on CC for inspiration, I especially copied some of boween's designs. Thanks for looking!

Chocolate cake with Buttercream icing. All decorations are buttercream. I was going to use fondant, but was running short on time. I thought it turned out really cute. The little girl was very excited about it.

this was one kind of cup cake i did for a bake sale for work... in total I did 130 with teh help of my my sisters kids..we all had a lot of fun !!!
