This was for a friend's 40th birthday. He owns a classic 1964 VW Bug that he takes to regional car shows. The car is iced in buttercream. The caricature "Head" is made of maccaroons covered in fondant. The sign posts are metal curtain rods. The signs were created & printed using my computer. The roadway sign reads: "WELCOME TO LIFE IN THE NOT-SO-FAST LANE".

My sister-in-law and I were bored, so we pulled out Debbie Browns Book and copied her design of Bug Bunny. She's really loving this MMF molding and really got into it pretty good. There are other pictures in my gallery of her molding work, she gonna end up another Debbie Brown if she keeps coming to visit and play cakes...LOL. We really had fun doing this cake, but began to wonder if we were ever gonna get enough carrots made. We used a whole batch of MMF for those carrots and still ran out.

The customer picked out the lady bug cake that missyjo30 posted on CC. 11X15 marble base cake, 8" round and half sports ball carved for lady bug (also marble). All covered in buttercream and dark chocolate MMF for lady bug's face & spots. The little pink flowers are also MMF. TFL!

This was a baby shower cake for a little boy. I made the bugs out of fondant and then painted them with food coloring paste. It turned out so cute. I like to top the cakes with something that they can have for a keepsake.

This cake is the compilation of lots of pics I saw on CC. Not sure where I was going with this one, but just thought I'd try to play around with mmf and see what happens. My daughter's buddy is having a b-day sleepover tomorrow, I guess I'll send it with her. Thanks for looking!

I copied this "ugly bug" cake from a goodie bag from an Ugly Bug party. His legs were made from black licorice and his eyes were made from gummy candies. The little boy decided he wanted him to ooze when they cut into him, so I filled him with green colored whip cream! YUCK!

I used the molds from Wilton gummy kit to make chocolate worms, grasshoppers, frogs, etc. and then stuck them on top of BC with ground-up (mint) oreo cookie crumbs. They were so good the sisters were fighting over who got to take them home.

This cake was actually placed on top of a 9x13 ice cream cake on site, but I don't have a picture of it. All fondant decorations. Was ordered for a girl who keeps wrecking her car. I love the bandaids! This is my first sculpted cake that I've covered in fondant. I really put my heart into it and next time will definitely quote what it is worth BEFORE I make the cake! First cake I have made for a stranger!

Cake is an 8" square carved to resemble a flower pot with a 4 x 4 on top for dimension. Bottom and sides are covered with fondant after a thick coat of buttercream. All flowers and bugs are hand rolled fondant. This is a take off on a previous flower pot cake I did. Customer wanted more yellow to match the partyware.

Itty bitty cookies! These were made for a friend's hubby over in Iraq. His division has a 'mascot' of a bee with a machine gun - very killer bee-ish... told her I didn't think I could make them look quite so violent. They are the cutest little cookies! I ended up glueing them onto larger decorated heart cookies with royal icing for Valentine's day.

The Bumble bee says to the ladybug--"Will you BEE my LADY?"--in honor of valentines day I made this cake, and it will be my first photo on cake central. The bee and ladybug's body was made from the sports ball pan, their head from cupcakes, their features(eyes, antennas, nose, mouth, legs, wings & body decor) is made from fondant. The grass is coconut flakes with green food coloring added. The cake is a choc raspberry w/ choc rasp ganash.

White cake with buttercream icing. Bottom layer is a 10 in. round and top is from a metal bowl I had in my cabinet. Before I delivered this cake, my dog had eaten a smash cake that looked exactly like this one. When I arrived to deliver this cake, I dropped it in the floor board of my car. This is the only picture I have of it as it should be. The customer laughed and said that the kids won't know the difference! Whew! Glad she has a good heart!
