I got the idea to do this cake from another photo I saw on cakecentral. I decided to make this for my husband on his birthday. It was a chocolate & red velvet cake with chocolate buttercream. Everything else was made with fondant.

This is the first fondant cake that I attempted. It was for my daughter's engagement party recently. It was a coconut cake, torted and coated with white chocolate ganache then covered in white fondant. Three sizes of silver cachous/dragees all individually glued in with sugar glue!

Another duck in a tub! My first one. I wanted to experiment with woodgrain and I think it came out ok. The bottles and duck are not edible (ran short on time!). Paula Deen's strawberry cake (yummy!), with strawberry cream cheese frosting between layers and vanilla buttercream covered in piping gel for the water. Fondant bubble with luster dust.

I got this idea here and I just couldn't resist to re-created to my style. It's chocolate cake with chocolate forsting (boy the mother to be was in chocoholic mood) all covered in fondant. Yes I cheated I bought a tub it was much better than making one lol. I added the shower to make it more fun.

TFL =)

This was a baby shower cake that a local university purchased for one of their employees. This idea was taken from another cake i found here on cakecentral. I cant remember the name of the person who originally created this cake, sorry!! These were placed on a 3 tier stand. Cake on top tier and cupcakes on bottom two tiers. Cake is vanilla w/vanilla icing. Cupcakes are swiss chocolate/white chocolate raspberry heaven icing, chocolate/chocolate and vanilla/vanilla. Thanks for looking and I appreciate all of your helpful comments.

First attempt at many things.... first 3-D cake, first star tip icing and first time dipping oreos. Turned out pretty good. Especially loved eating all those "bubbles". The cake was my daughters 1st birthday as she was really into ducks. It was in a large basin and sitting on an upside down bowl which was hidden by all the "bubbles" made of chocolate covered oreos.

I got the idea from other cakes here on CC. The bottom layer was Heavenly Pumpkin Spice cake (with mini chocolate chips), pumpkin cream cheese filling, and crusting cream cheese frosting. The top layer was French Vanilla with blackberry filling. The two little ducks are cupcake picks.

I took this photo before I added the yellow rubber duckies - they really made the difference. This was done with the sitting Wilton Bear pan and an oval cake to sit on.

A friend asked me to provide a baby shower cake--the catch was it was for the adoption of a toddler. Most baby shower cakes are baby-themed, so developing an idea for one that would express the excitement of the adoption as well as one that incorporated a toddler was a challenge. However, in viewing some cakes with this bathtub theme, I figured I could change the baby to the little girl they were adopoting. And the cake message seems to convey just how they felt, too!

I was so glad I took the class of Lorraine Mckay's. I went all 3 days and I have learnt so much in the past 3 days. She is such a loving person and a very good teacher. If she is in your city do join her class you will be glad. She did a baby girl in the tub but I did a boy since I have 2 boys and did not want to take a girl home.

I copied this "A Moment for Mom" cake from AmyBeth I loved it so much. Our group birthday gift to my sister-in-law was a day at the spa, so this cake fit perfectly. I was pressed for time, so I couldn't do as many bubbles as I would have liked and didn't get a chance to fix some of the imperfections... but over all I was very pleased with how well it turned out. I used fondant for the bubbles, towels, faucet, and tub rim and used BC for the rest. I used pearl dust on the bubbles.
