Cake was done to match baby shower invites, and a cake that my client found, so we incorporated both. 10" and 6" round, iced in buttercream w/ fondant details and bow.

I got this idea (the pink with brown piping) from someone on here. I thought that the colors and everything were so beautiful, and I was just waiting on a chnace to do one. So I got an order for a Mary Kay party. There color is pink and this was perfect for them. Frosted in pink BC with VERY DARK brown. Letters and rosed made out of MMF and painted with super pearl. By the way, the letters didn't have enough time to dry so I had to rig them up with wire and toothpicks, which is why they are so BLAH!!!!!!!!!

I made this for a good friend whose favorite colors are pink and brown. The bottom tier is strawberry cake and the top is blueberry. Both are sliced in four layers and filled with cream cheese filling. The cake is iced in BC and the accents are fondant with the exception of the gift tag which is gumpaste. This was sooo much fun but really took a lot of time! Thanks to wcgirl for the inspiration. I need to practice stacked cakes in preparation for my GrandMIL's 100th birthday next month!!!

I got my colors and vision from jenncowin....I changed some things around a bit because I am not as talented as she is..LOL My icing had a lot of air bubbles in it and it was very hard to work with and would not crust for anything..I got pretty frustrated with this one.....Oh and this is the cake I had posted about asking for help !!!! Thanks to you all for your responses..

This cake has writing all around. It says to love, to care, to trust, to share, to laugh, and to live. I was inspried by another cake on this website to do the colors and the flowers. I think that the color are a beautiful combo. Oh yeah, and I messed up the writing on the top at first (was trying to write on the blue icing), so I just threw on some MMF and wrote on that. It actually looks better that way so I guess you do learn from your mistakes huh.

I got a request for a Tiffany Blue and Chocolate brown baby shower cake and this is what I came up with. I actually got the idea from Colette Peters Wedding Cakes " Chocolate Fantasia" cake. It didn't look much like a baby shower cake, but they wanted the theme to look like a sophisticated tea party. I think it came out well. The cake is covered in buttercream, with modeling chocolate accents.

I made these cookie for a friend as a thank you. I found the pictures off of the internet, printed them out the size I wanted, then layed them on cookie dough and cut around them. Time consuming but so cute.

This cake was for a friend who's sister is expecting a baby. The cake was designed to somewhat match the shower invitation (colors and flowers). A couple of firsts - 1st time using Luster Dust (can't really tell it's on the pearls and shoestrings) and 1st time making a fondant shoe and swags. This cake was so fun to decorate, I just wish I could have gotten the icing more smooth. Yellow butter cake, chocolate buttercream, MMF accents.

This was the first cake my daughter has done outside the family. She has not done any lessons and was guided by me when she was down on holiday. I am thrilled that she is taking it up. I am so proud so I just had to post it. She lives a long way from me so I expect there will be many calls for help. I think she did a great job. Chocolate mudcake.

This is a cake for my BIL's birthday. I wanted simple and manly without a "theme". He loves cherry cordials so I went with that flavorwise. Its Devil's Food cake with cherry and vanilla butter cream filling, topped with chocolate butter cream with a splash of chocolate liquor. I then drizzled melted chocolate over the top and sides...I keep thinking it looks like a bad 80's t-shirt, but I'm sure it'll be a hit.

The dinosaur is covered in MMF fondant, but the other cake is iced in buttercream. I snagged this idea from Debbie Brown's book for a little guy who loves dinosaurs.
