They are vanilla and chocolate. The lining has a leaf pattern that matches the leaves on top. I made the leaves out of royal icing. I made around 200 leaves, it took a while, lol.

I showed a customer a picture of one of Godiva's present cakes to give her the idea of the shape, but they fell in love with the design and the whole thing so I ended up duplicating it. Godiva's is of course way nicer!!

This cake was for my daughter's shower today. I have to thank Sarahscakes for the inspiration. i found one of her cakes that I loved and tried to do something similar. The bottom tier is styrofoam covered in MMF and the other two are real cake. Everyone loved the cake. Especially my daughter.

Here it is! My second wedding cake. It was pretty short notice but I think it turned out ok. All tiers are my famous Double Chocolate Layer Cake with Bittersweet Chocolate Frosting. The fondant bow on top is the first fondant bow I have ever made. That was kinda scary :) Thanks for looking and I hope you like it!

This is only my second attempt at using fondant the first one was a present but this one I made for my sister-in-laws baby shower. It turned out better than expected. At the shower I added chocoate and pink lollipop strollers to the top and little chocolate and pink pacifiers and booties. But does anyone know what the best flavoring is to use for fondant? I still don't like the way it taste and I even flavored it with vanilla this time.

This was very time consuming. I got tired and decided just to plop a stuffed cat on it. This was a practice cake.

This is my first paid cake... very happy how it came out especially since I had a hard time with the edges since cake is square... but I enjoyed it! This is a yellow cake filled with chocolate buttercream covered with fondant... used rose, brown and ivory to color (wilton)... I posted another picture for a different view.

Based on Debbie Brown's cake in Easy Party Cakes. I have GOT to find a better way to do those strings. Anyway...bottom is strawberry cake iced in buttercream, made to look like a ragwool rug. Yarn is chocolate from sports ball pan, covered in fondant. Kitten is candy clay. Now I have to transport the thing.....

This cake recreates scenes from A Charlie Brown Christmas. Charlie is getting advice on holiday cheer from lucy and Sally is cuddling up to Linus, her blanket-clutching sweet baboo. I created all figures with marshmallow fondant. Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree on the front is also made of fondant. The cake itself is frosted with buttercream over double fudge cake.

The gift bag is yellow cake with a "twinkie" filling, covered in marshmallow fondant. The tissue paper is gumpaste. The small cake on the left is yellow cake with the same filling, covered with chocolate frosting and fondant accents. The small cake on the right is chocolate cake with the same filling. I was inspired by a combination of pictures from this site - thanks everyone!

This design is from Debbie Brown's "50 Easy Party Cakes" book. I ended up with orders for about 30 of these cakes and as much as fun as they were to do. I was a bit sick of them by the time I got to the last few. I made two flavors chocolate and pumpkin. -

Made for a 27 year old man's birthday. Customer found similar picture and wanted to match exactly! Thank heavens for Offray ribbons - I thought I was going to have to make a striped fondant bow! Whew! I think this would be nice for any guy or special occasion.

This is a 1/4 sheet cake that I made for a friend. She ordered it to look like the invitation which is pictured with the cake. The pink icing and white writing is BC and the other decorations are MMF. She called after the shower to say that the cake was a huge hit and everyone was so impressed with it. That always makes me happy.

Thanks for looking!

This is what the bride wanted, she even drew the stick figures for the tops of the two smaller cakes. (personally I don't like the design!) She even told me how to arrange the flowers on the top of the cake. Each cake was placed at a different height. This is definatly one of those cakes that you either love or hate!!!

Round cake dummies, fondant covered,BC decorations and fondant flowers. My first attempt at cherry blossoms, well sort off (Im crazy about them, reminds me the day I got married). The tree is painted with Wilton brown, and the little fuschia blossoms are BC (big mistake, nothing like RI to decorate).Borders are BC,cornelli lace on the top,all the cake dusted with super pearl.I wanted the green ribbon to be satin but I forgot to buy it.Fondant ribbon is a little hard to make.I had a lot of fun.

These little guys are from one of Debbie Brown's books. Glad I only had to make 12, as they aren't as much fun to make as they look! I can easily cover a whole cake in fondant....but these guys were tricky!

I had all kinds of trouble pop up with this one, but I rushed. I am satisfied with how it turned out despite some minor problems. My bow faded and my royal icing got brighter as it dried so I had to paint my bow. I also was a little sloppy with putting it together, and you can see the royal icing in the middle. Overall I am very pleased with how this cake came out.
