The more and more I do cakes I've realized that every single one seems to have some sort of dots on it. I guess it is becoming my signature. I did this one just for fun today. Hope you all like it. I felt the need to pick myself up after the awful Bratz cake I did last week.

A 2 tiered pink & brown circle cake inspired by the other similar cakes on here. Not very happy with the bow, I don't think I left it to dry for long enough, it went a bit floppy!

My friend asked me to make a cake as it is her cat's birthday (I kid you not!). I just got several of Debbie Brown's books and really wanted to try a design out, so I chose this one! I think the wool would have been better in the original fondant, but my friend loves buttercream. Cherny (for it is the birthday cat himself that graces this version!), is made from sugarpaste with a bit of CMC added for stability, I lustre dusted his ears, nose & cheeks in pink just to do something a bit different.

I made this for my co-worker on her last day. It's a chocolate cake with a whipped ganache filling and dripped ganache over the top. Really rich! I've seen these cute cake here with the pirouettes on the side. So, thank you all for the idea. The ganache made the cookies stick very well. The ganache was only my second time making it, first time came out awful. But this ganache was sooo good. Everyone really like it. Thanks for looking.

This was my first attempt at a three-tier wedding shower cake. It's iced in pink buttercream with pink and brown fondant polka dots and Xs and Os. Topper is candy melt lollipops. I would have liked to get the icing smoother, but I think it's an OK first effort :) Cake tasted great, French Vanilla with raspberry cream filling.

This one really isn't the best cake I've done by far. I learned a lot from it of what I won't do next time. They were happy with it though. The flag, of course, is hand painted fondant and the rest is chocolate buttercream.

cake is 3 2 layer white cakes iced with rolled buttercream. Swirls almost taste like fudge becasue I put so much cocoa in this icing. The topper isn't on it yet, and neither are the daisies that will be put on randomly. Im hoping to get another pic of it at cake cutting time. I don't know who to give te credit to for the design of the cake. The bride cut a pic out of a magazine and said that this is what she wanted. There are a few changes made to it, though.

This is a scratch banana cake with fluffernutter frosting (from the fluff cookbook)and live marigolds (which are edible, but noone ate). I love using fresh flowers when they are available. There are so many dark months here, that when nature provides something beautiful, I feel compelled to use it. The flowers are from my garden.

I did this all chocolate cake (MMF) for a wedding this weekend. I was trying to think of a name for it and the photograper at the wedding told the bride and groom that this was her dream cake hence the name "dreamer"!
Thanks for checking it out!

This really should be under cake disasters, but as the client was happy in the end, I guess all is well. From runny icing to bubbly fondant, I don't think I got hardly anything right with this cake. But in the end I got the thing put together and I didn't have time to re-do it so I just had to go with what I had.

Made these at CA Cake Camp in class with Debbie Brown. All Gum paste with only 2 pieces of uncooked spaghetti for neck support. No patterns or molds--all hand modeled using balls and sausages of gum paste. Hair and flowers were made using the Wilton ejection blossom cutter. Debbie is a delightful teacher with a dry wit.

I made this cake for the bridal shower of a bride who's wedding colors were latte and cream. I wasn't really too pleased with the way it came out, but the bride loved it.

This is the first birthday cake I've had to do for a male - was just given instructions to do a white cake with white icing. This is what I came up with. White cake, ivory b/c icing and fondant decorations.

Spice durable cake recipe - fondant is Toba Garrett's recipe - I think it would have looked much better if my fondant had been stiffer! Still searching for a good one that holds up right! Based on a Debbie Brown cake.

This is my first try with dummy cakes. Just playing around today, and I really liked this cake when I saw it on this website so I thought I would try it. The original was much better, but still I had a lot of fun decorating it. I put press and seal on my dummies so I could reuse them, however it made the fondant look a little funny, it still came out pretty smooth.

I designed this cake to match the baby's nursery. MMF decorations over crusting buttercream. Had a lot of trouble with the seams of my rope finish for each layer. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I did this cake for the mom-to-be from my "Frog Cake" shower! Her baby is now 4 months old and her brother is having a baby girl. She requested I match the cake as closely as possible to the invitation (top left corner). She also wanted a big chocolate bow with cascading streamers. She requested a second smaller cake that will be frozen and taken to the hospital when the baby is born and eaten then! (Top right). All MMF with royal icing accents painted with vodka and disco dust.

I made this cake for my father in law's birthday. I need more practice trying to get my lines straight but overall, I was happy with it. I finally got a turntable and tried the VIVA method - worked great! This was also the first time making the white almond sour cream cake recipe and using Sweetex - loved both. He and I share a birthday and I don't always make him a cake so this year I made sure he got one.

This was my very first attempt at using MMF and it turned out pretty good. I learned to roll it thinner next time and to make it more pliable, but this one turned out better than I thought.
