This was a very rushed job for a friends birthday. Not the best pic but you get the idea. All buttercreme except for the fondant daisies. There are a few dings in it due to transport with 3 kids and a crazy driving husband - we were running late- lol!!!

This was done for an employee who had been there for 20 years. 11 x 15 chocolate cake with chocolate BC. Fondant ribbon around the top with peppermint pearls as top and bottom borders. The pearls were dusted with white pearl dust. The heels are gumpaste using the template in the gallery. This cake was a lot harder than I expected. It seems that the simpler the cake the more difficult it is.

Made this cake for a bridal shower for a bridge whom I am also making wedding cake.
11x15 marble cake with bc and covered in fondant. I haven't made roses in a long time,
except for the large middles, I am happy with them. First time using chalk to enhance the
petals. I think it kind of looks victorian. TFL

First time doing chocolate buttercream. When I smoothed it with my viva it looked streaky. It got better after sitting for awhile but I am not sure why it did this? The flowers are fondant - still playing with it and trying new things. I was going to do a big bow on top but I didn't get it done early enough to dry so I just did more flowers. I would love any helpful comments.

This is the first cake I have made since watching Sugarshacks's DVD's . II was pretty happy with how the shape of the cakes turned out. I also had a lot less problems with the fondant. Fist time using a stencil, that came out ok but need more practice on that technique. Thanks Sugarshack. :-)
5" and 7", 2 tier 4 layer chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream and vanilla cream filling.

This was my 2nd attempt at making a cupcake bouquet. I made this one with much more ease since I had done one prior. This was a german chocolate cake recipe with chocolate buttercream icing. I filled these with almond joy filling. I got rave reviews! I also decided to add a lil' bling, so I added some rhinestones...hope you enjoy!

12",10", 8", 6" rounds. Created for a visual for b-t-b. Iced in royal. Scrolls were stamped on using brown gel, piping gel, and gin to thin it out to keep it from blobbing. Next time, I'll add more gin.
Thank you for looking :-)

Two layer topsy-turvy cake for a friend's wedding. Bottom layer is 10 in round on top of 9 1/2 in round and top layer is 8-8- and 8 1/2 for the top. All brown buttercreme icing and all the pink is fondant. This was actually cake No. 2. First lesson don't tort tilted cake with pudding. Lesson No. 2 don't leave it on counter in evening sun. Lesson No. 3. don't trim an 8 in to be a 7 in and assume it'll support an 8in cake. Second time was a charm. I was really happy with how it turned out.

I made this for UTSA (The University of Texas at San Antonio) Sorority Gamma Phi Beta. This is my first three tiered cake. Learned a few lessons on the stacking bit but now I know for next time.

I was asked to make this cake for a co-worker. She wanted polka dots with a present. I think it turned out great on my first bow I made for this cake. I loved the color scheme.

I'm becoming quite renowned for these chocolate bouquets. A quickie thrown together (lucky I had cake and chocolate's already lying around!) for a birthday I found out about yesterday. I think it's a great way to incorporate chocolates into the design of the cake. The choc bouquet is completely edible half choc ball with choc roses and fondant blossoms.

This cake was iced in buttercream icing tinted brown and accented with pink dots and borders. The topper was a clear glass heart that is very hard to get to stay up on a cake.

I made this cake for a friends birthday. It's a 2 layer, 6 inch round covered in chocolate satin ice fondant (so yummy by they way), with fondant accents. The chocolate fondant is much softer than regular fondant.... I'll have to practice with it more. I had a hard time getting the bottom of the cake to be perfectly smooth... normally not a problem for me.

This was requested for a baby shower, to match some brown invitations with some light floral pattern on them. I had trouble taking the photo as it was SO humid and the cake was sweating...plus the dark brown was giving me trouble with the lighting. Anyway I wasn't sure how this would come out but I think it came out ok, except my fondant was too thick on the bow, and I could have done a better job making that more realistic.

This cake was made for a new baby girl whose mother is decorating the nursery in brown and pink polka dots. It is chocolate butter cream with pink MMF fondant circles. The cake under the butter cream is chocolate with the layers separated with raspberry butter cream (I used my strawberry butter cream recipe that is listed on the CC Recipes and substituted the raspberry seedless jam) with a layer of raspberry jam on each side. Bubble tea straws were used to stack the layers.
