The order was pretty simple - funky colours and one of those 'wonky' cakes. Other than that I could do what I wanted, as long as no age was mentioned anywhere on it! I was in tears in the early stage of this one, it was my first real disaster story. Came out OK in the end though. TFL!

10" and 8" round cakes. Butter cream frosting with fondant accents. The client just gave me the colors she wanted the cake to be and said to make it 'girly'. lShe left the design up to me. (I love it when that happens heehee) Anyway, I'm pleased with how it turned out. Thanks to all you for being so helpful and inspirational.

Made this cake for an acquaintance. THe host put the cake topper on while I was parking my car, so she messed up the border a little and you can see where she resat the topper. LOL That's okay!

This wedding cake was transported this week to a different state by the groom's mom--so I don't have a picture of it assembled yet! I am not happy about the bulging side frosting.

This cake was for a Mad Hatter themed tea party bridal shower. I agreed to help some friends with it. They came over with the cakes already baked. It took 5 of us 5 hours to stack and decorate the cake. Everything is covered in fondant and all electric colors are used. The top tier is an upside down tea cup to complete the theme.

I love the higgeldy, piggeldy-ness of this design. When I saw others like it, I just had to give it a go.

Half & Half sheet cake for a birthday at a local doctor's office. The inspiration was from a design by Jenncowin here on CC. This was a fun cake to decorate. All comments and suggestions are always welcome!

12" rounds with 8" rounds iced in buttercream with fondant decorations...including candle. Cupcake topper is smash cake, made with large muffin tin and small bowl (so it's not ALL icing). Luster dusted 50/50 letter "B" for the birthday girl. Designed to match handmade invitation.

I love love love this cake. Fondant (yellow placed like normal first then white tops on that) with painted flowers (used airbrush color and a brush) outlined (yes, its supposed to be sloppy-ish) in royal icing. Sugarpaste fantasy flowers on the top.

This was my interpretation of the Bright Blossoms Pooh cake in the 2008 Wilton yearbook. I thought to myself, "why make fondant flowers when I still have flowers from course 2" so I used those and was so happy with my cake. This was the first time I've done a character pan & it was harder than I thought because you have to think backwards. The insert they give you is oriented the same way as the pan but when you flip it...This cake was for Ida, age 15 in foster care- she was giddy when she saw it! NICE!

I did these cookies for the Clarkston Village Players after party. The play was called Bright Ideas and is about parents that will do anything to get their son into a posh school before he turns 4. I created some schools, skull and crossbones, tombstones with now enrolling on them, some cake to celebrate the child's 4th bday which comes at the end of the play, and of course spelt out the play name in cookies.

This was my final cake from my course 3 class. If you've ever taken the Wilton courses, you know I didn't exactly follow the book! I had a ball creating this cake. The cake is devils food with buttercream between the layers (I'm still new at this so I haven't attempted any fillings yet) and covered with chocolate fondant. The flowers and decorations are made with tinted fondant. Since this was my first fondant cake it was very time consuming but worth every minute spent. Hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoyed creating it! Thank you Tina!!
