Graffiti on a brick wall cake made for my nephew who loves drawing graffiti. Inspired byGranpam for the brick work. Happy Birthday was a FBCT. Unfortunately I had a major mishap as I was about to leave... the lid of the cake container was touching the middle part of the cake... it ripped a chunk of the top off. I should have taken the picture first! Thankfully my nephew liked it anyway.

This is a wedding shower cake! The bride's whole shower theme is Oz. It contains all the characters, but being respectful of CC's request to not post more than one picture, I've only posted this one. Other shots of each character can be found on the website listed in my signature. Thanks for looking!

This was for a little boy that is more obsessed with Spiderman than mine is! The cake was iced in buttercream and then I cut into it to make the brick look.

This is a little plain...they were going to add on crystal dragons on site. It's a fairly big cake, four 3" high 14" sq cakes stacked. Turrets are rice krispies.

My 18 year old daughter made this for 1st place at our fall festival. She stacked 2 sheet cakes and carved the top one. Decorated in Butter creme, the fans are nerds candy and the race cars are mike and ikes. She ran short on time and had to rush a few things but was surprised to have still won the contest.

Thanks for the idea to all the CC's that did this one before me. I don't think I'm at the skill level to do a carved one yet, like I saw that so many have posted on site. TFL

I can't take credit for this design, because the customer found the picture on the net. It's a chocolate cake with BC. Got to use my brick impression mat for the first time. The ball is carved, because I don't have a ball pan yet - that's going to be my next investment!!

I am so bummed that I didn't have a moment to spare to take photos before I rushed out the door, so my friend sent this to me. It was so fun to make, but I was hurrying so badly that I forgot to put a door behind the balcony! (the black thing with what are supposed to be flowers, lol). She didn't have a shot that showed the gondola very well :(

Chocolate cake with vanillla BC finish. The brick connectors are also BC, and I had quite a time shaping those little things! The ladder, wheelbarrow and shovel are all hand molded from a putty-like royal icing. I saw a cool lego cake on CC last month that had the construction look (thanks, aimers!), so I found a way to incorporate something similar by cutting away some cake and packing in stacked candy bricks. Lego mini-figures are going to be placed at various spots on the cake by the birthday boy's Mom

8" banana cake with orange smbc. All flowers and leaves are royal icing except the dark blue carnations which are fondant/gumpaste. It's hardly noticeable in this shot but there are a couple of BIIIIIIG lilies that were made with a big leaf tip and greased foil cones(take a large piece of foil and shape over your finger then open and round off the top)...lily nail set only goes so big...the smaller lilies with the spots were made using the largest of the lily nail set.

Dorothy's slippers are all fondant. I coated it with piping gell than sprinkled sugar sprinkles. I just carved an 8 inch cake just alittle to give the road a curve. And i used luster dust on the brick road.

Client wanted an egg free cake for her son for his b-day. I couldn't do webs with sugarveil or RI because of the eggs, so this is all I could really come up with that didn't keep breaking! Buttercream bricks (impression mat) with fondant windows, road, bushes and signs, etc. Client provided action figure and cars parked on side.

I made this cake for my daughter's 13th birthday upon her request. She has been an avid collector of the Wizard of Oz since she was about 2 years old. The figurines were already a part of her collection, so I was lucky there. It was a lot of fun to make!

This is my hommage to Earlene's Wizard of Oz cake. The MOB brought Earlene's photo and wanted their cake almost identical. We removed a few things and changed the topper. The poppies are gum paste and the yellow brick road is candy clay with a little yellow luster dust.

Red Velvet cakes w/cream cheese filling, buttercream crumb coat, MMF. My 9 year old son designed this cake, we baked 2 - 8" rounds, torted both, used an 8" round for base and cut the 2nd in half, then stacked and carved for the hearth and chimney. My 9 & 6 year old sons made all the decorations (17 month old watched). DH and I helped. This was how we spent our Christmas Eve after going to mass. We had a great time doing this project together. This was the first time I was sad to cut a cake. TFL.

This was for my cousin (we are very close) ** I had to make it out of town.
Not only was I out of my element but of course I forgot to bring some tools - and my camera! My mom took this photo and photo-shopped the messy buffet-style-food-background. She is laughing because she made it look like it's floating! They met while working at mimi's and fell for each other over the bread pudding after work one night. The cake was a surprise, served at brunch the morning after the wedding.

Santa Stuck in the Chimney. 8" square 4 tiers on bottom and sports ball butt with Rice Krispy legs. I sprayed a bit of black to make it look like soot. If I do this again, I would do the legs out of styrofoam so they wouldn't be so weighty.
