This was an absolute rush (for me at least), customer called on Tuesday and and wanted this cake for Saturday night, and I still work my "real" job! So she sent me a photo of a cake that she found online, that looked very similar to this, but couldnt remember where she found it. After she picked it up, she told me where she found it and when I searched for it, I found that the credit goes to Sharon Zambito, Sugared Productions! I am almost embarrassed to put this up, because it is not NEARLY as nice as hers, but I am still proud of it. Marble cake with bavarian cream filling, b/c frosting under Rhondas Ultimate MMF (awesome!), with white chocolate suckers, rainbow, and Ruby Slippers. Witches hat is an ice cream cone covered in frosting, and the melted witch is also chocolate. Broom and flowers are fondant, and grass is piped b/c. Thanks so much Sharon for the wonderful idea, and TFL!

Went to see my boys in the Wizard of Oz and wanted something nice to give them as a gift after the performance. These were a big hit! If I had more time I would have added a tin hat, flying monkeys, etc.

Used FBCT to make the kids name "Shep" look like the lego logo. Buttercream cake with gumpaste lego bricks. I was happy with it except that I ran out of time to make red icing so I had to buy storebought Wilton and it needed 2 tubes of it. Well the 2 tubes of the same red icing had different tints to them and you could totally tell in the logo. Grrr...

Chocolate cake with raspberry filling. Buttercream fondant. Lego figures are fondant. Bricks are molded chocolate. I got the roll out idea from another cake I saw from Rivertown Cakes - it was a Green Bay Packers cake, so the colours were different, but I loved the roll out idea!
This cake was made for an 11 year old boy, so I cut 2 of the lego bricks to to make a number 11 at the front of the cake.

This was a 40th Birthday cake for a Christian Rapper names Crayzee Joe. All the props are made out of RKT to resemble his personal items. This was such a fun cake to make! The top is a 6 inch WASC with a strawberry and whip cream filling than the bottom is a 10 inch Chocolate cake with a ganache filling.

Lego blocks (duplo) for a friend's son's 3rd birthday. Three mudcakes are covered by brightly coloured fondant. Fun to make and in correct proportions from lego! I think adults liked this cake more than the kids!

This fire truck cake was made for Kevin Schutt, who runs with Empire Hook & Ladder in Pottstown. The cake was half vanilla, half chocolate. The brick wall was all rice krispy treat covered in fondant, and airbrushed for detail. Happy 3oth Kevin! This is what the cake looked like before the humidity attacked it during delivery during one of Pottstown's hottest days of 2011.

I got the idea for this cake from this website...It's one of the most fun cakes I've ever made. The slippers, rainbow and emerald city are all made from gum paste and the rest is butter cream. I sprinkled the slippers with edible glitter from Michales...I think they made the cake. Thanks for the inspiration Cake Central!
