She wanted a soccer themed cake. I browsed all the pictures I could find to get ideas. Thanks everyone. They loved it. She actually dropped it and just a couple pieces of grass fell off. Whew!!!!

Fall out boy themed cake I made for my niece. This is a Chocolate Fudge cake with a ganache filling and frosted in a black buttercream. Aside from the band's name the lyrics to their songs are incribed on top with a #2 tip. The sides of the cake are supposed to resemble a grommit belt.

When a couple adopted an 8 month old, the ladies at church gave them a shower. I did everything very last minute just before the shower. The letters & booties are fondant - used cookie cutters. The back of the booties is coated w/white chocolate so they would stand upright (didn't have time for them to dry). They are dusted w/luster dusts.

I was 8 weeks postpartum w/baby #2 and didn't have time to do anything elaborate for my son, so I used his toys to create his Bob the Builder birthday cake. I was pleased with the results - and of course he loved it!

Mother sent me a photo of the paper goods she ordered for the party - I made RI run in decorations to go on cake. Cake looked great until I got it to the destination - I forgot to affix it to the cake board and it slid all over the back of the car :( Only the bottom piping got messed up though.

Baby shower cake for a boy -- all buttercream with chocolate fondant circles and baby hair. The chocolate borders are buttercream and face details. The pacifier is a green apple candy in a buttercream base. I should have drawn a smile on the face coming out from the pacifier...next time. It's a single layer 8" on top of a quarter sheet cake. I had never used fondant and wanted to try it. I thought rolling it and then just cutting circles would be an easy way to start.

Made this cake for twins that were graduating from 8th grade. Used little hero pan. I had no idea what to do until a member from CC suggested to just use my imagination. So I did. My grandson saw this cake on CC made by Mariamom and begged me to make one for him! This is a strawberry cake w/BC. Choclate transfer that unfortunately broke down the middle...but the picture is very forgiving. (First try at choc transfer). All writing & decorations are chocolate. Thanks Mariamom...my grandson is soooo happy!!!

Thanks to Sharon for your help on the boats! I like your design much better, but I was happy with how this turned out. The boats are fondant, flags/fish in gumpaste. Iced in buttercream. This was SO fun, although time-consuming because it was also a lot of trial and error.

I made this one iced in Green, and the edges I trimmed with the Grass Tip... then sprinkled soem Brown sugar on the field around the bases, etc. the 2 Ball gloves you see there, are the Mini Hand Pan. I baked 2 of those and covered in brown. Then drew on a baseball in each.
The plastic baseball figures I bought and arranged on the cake.
