Triple chocolate cake with vanilla cream filling & chocolate ganache buttercream. The chocolate icing tastes wonderful but is so hard to work with. This was as good as I could get it. Not great but I hope the customer likes!!!

I made this cake for my sister's convocation - it's more classy than the classic cap and book theme - but the little penguins have their grad caps on!

This is a 2-layer yellow cake with Buttercream Icing tinited ivory. The bow, ribbons, and tag are rolled fondant. The pinecones are Chocolate Buttercream made using the same technique as a rose. The evergreen was made from Buttercream with the grass tip. My mother-in-law inspired me to make the pinecones using my rose tip. She had a good idea!

The cake is yellow with Buttercream Icing. The bow and ribbon is made out of Gum Paste. I made both Gum Paste and Rolled Fondant ribbon loops for trial and error. The Rolled Fondant was too heavy for the corner and pushed the icing down. The Gum Paste is much lighter.

French Vanilla with buttercream filling. MMF. Bow made of 1/2 mmf and gumtex, painted with luster dust. Edible pearls on bottom tier. Cant see much of the detail on the other tiers. This one was almost the death of me during set up... looks a little tilted but i think its the picture.

This is my first attempt at a fondant bow. I tried airbrushing the fondant. YIKES, it doesn't work. It was a learning experience. I will be making this same bow in a couple of weeks for a shower cake, next time I I will knead the color into the fondant. I was practicing both the bow and the cake. The cake recipe was a scratch chooclate, with chocolate ganche filling. It tasted awesome!

This was for a birthday party at church in March. We had 12 tables and each table was decorated to fit a theme for the month. Everyone sat at their own birthmonth table. The bow and ribbons are fondant. Everything else is buttercream.

This was created for an 80th birthday. Pink gumpaste roses and leaves. Organza ribbon used upon request (I normally prefer to have everything edible). Cake is combination of coconut/vanilla cream for bottom layers and white rum cake for top layers. Madagascar vanilla buttercream is the filling and icing all enrobed in vanilla/white chocolate fondant.

My cousin got married in Fort Worth last weekend, and this is the cake I made for her. I baked it here (in Memphis) and froze it, letting it thaw on the drive down. 4", 6", 8", 10" and 12" cakes, each tier was 5" tall except bottom tier, which was is 6" tall. Amaretto cake with cinnamon cream filling, buttercream icing, fondant lacing, bow and ribbon. The cake was designed to match her wedding dress, and the groom's cake was a tux to match the groom's tux.

I used MMF which I tried to spongepaint but it didn't work very well. The cake was a triple layer chocolate-yellow-chocolate with a chocolate mousse filling. I just painted the outside edge of the bow which turned out to be a very pretty effect. This was for a co-worker's birthday and now everyone is asking me what I charge - and I don't have a clue! But I was basically very pleased with this cake!

This wedding cake(royal over styrofoam) w/royal accented fondant bow is a duplicate of the one I created for Wilton Master Course class final. I was thrilled to no end to find it on the front cover of the 2006 course Wilton course catalog!
