My 8 year old daughter won 2nd place for this cowgirl boot decorated with rolled fondant. I had to help her get the shape right on the cake. She colored the fondant and rolled it out. I helped her do a lot of the smoothing and tucking on the finished end. I also helped her with the designing on the boot. She finished up with the sole and the spur but I had to help her get it to stay on the cake.

This cake was 18" tall. The head is styrfoam because I had to drive it an hour and a half away. This cake was for a boy who is the new voice of Boots on Dora the Explorer. The mother loved it and said it was more then what she expected. I made a #8 to put on the top of the cake but didn't put it on until I got to her house and I didn't take a picture. That is her son sitting on top of the cake. I hope the young boy liked it.

This was a suprise for a man's 50th birthday. He apparently goes hiking a lot and she wanted me to try to duplicate his boots (I strayed a little but .. at this point I don't care). First boot.. ..... LAST boot LOL .. Oh well at least I tried :) . I used the dark chocopan and caramel chocopan for this.. YUM .. TFL and have a wonderful day :)
