My niece picked this cake for her sweet 16th bday. We also made a batch of cupcakes to go with. The pic isn't that great, but I'm pretty happy with the cake. Next time I'll do the see-saw handles ahead of time though! Thanks for looking!

This was my 2nd real cake and 1st tiered cake. This is a side view of it. The mom-to-be nursery theme is a celestial one, so that's what i did with blue and pink since that didn't know the sex of the baby. Both Tiers were strawberry with white chocolate BC filling and BC frosting. I'm not terribly thrilled with the way it came out, but I had no idea how hard this two-toned lattice pattern would be until i actually tried to do it.

The cake is a 10"x3" torted and iced in buttercream. The roses on top are buttercream (I froze for easier handling) and the flowers on the side are royal and pressed into a bc swag. The only thing I wasn't happy with were the rose stems and the bow. The stems weren't "gathered" correctly, and the icing for the bow was too thin and it collapsed in on itself on the right. I tried to fix both. Hopefully with so many flowers, no-one will notice!

No fail sugar cookies with Martha's royal recipe w/meringue substituted. I'm making these for DH's biggest clients as a "thank you for your business". This is my first ever so I'm hoping I learn along the way.

White french vanilla cake bc icing with rolled fondant snowflakes cut out by hand/pattern. I got the idea from here and combined a few things from others! This is a birthday cake for a friends DIL, who's B Day happens to be the same as mine...12/25.
I wanted her to have a BDay cake...not just Christmas.

Thanks to teesue for the inspiration! Made this for a friend's birthday. All buttercream. This was a fun and easy cake. If only the cake supply store hadn't been closed so I could have made it shiny with luster dust! Alas! Hope they like it!

I had a hard time making this cake because I just don't like this color and then having to hand pipe a bazillion little stars on it. Not to mention the bride said "I'd lots of little stars, think no bigger than your thumbnail" Arrrrgh!!!! Needlesss to say my hand had cramps. I did talk you out of putting dark red roses all over it as well. I suggested it might be getting a little too busy. Oh well, it came together better than the cakes looked individually.

This is a blue version of Debbie Brown's Sugarplum Fairy. I didn't have a garner cutter to make it petalish, so I tried to make the skirts as ragged and "tulle-like" as possible. I'm still learning how to model with MMF but I really like this cake!

I call this one a "leftover test cake" because we have an order coming up for a recipe we had not tried, so we needed to test it (not short of taste testers in our house) and we had loads of leftover buttercream in all sorts of colours from past cakes... best not to let them go to waste... hence the bad colour combinations...but the kids will eat and test all the same. Chocolate mud cake with buttercream

This was the first one I made. (one of the ribbons broke when I was putting it on the cake) It was for a lady who loves Tiffany, and she was thrilled with it. I have since gotten better (I got 3 orders for more of the same after folks saw this one!) This is also my first MMF bow. The color was actually blue, not sure why it looks green.

This is a coconut cream pie cake covered on Tiffany Blue fondant. Top was made with half ball pan over a 6". Base was an 8" dummy. Think I used the petunia cutter for the blossoms and rolled out fondant stems...Dusted with Super Pearl dust...
