This is half chocolate, half vanilla, whipped frosting, mmf and royal accents, the bling is non edible flat back rhinestones pressed onto a piece of glad press and seal wrap. It really sucks without the red fondant bow I added across the front of the 40, but I didn't get a pic, I hate when I do that!

Cake was for a little girls karaoke/rock n' roll party - only requests were that it be pink, purple and have a guitar. This is what we ended up with and she loved it! The flash of the camera washed the colors out a little.

I've seen some photos of cakes using this design on the internet. This is my take on using some jewels in a cake. Tried to find bigger jewels w/ no luck.

This was fun cake! Black dress was the theme. I convered a cheap doll (after i took off the legs and arms and head) with fondant for the dress form. The cake is convered in fondant, the dress is fondant. The shoes were really fun! They are gumpaste. The rhinestones are not edible but were worth the extra touch!

My sister and I made this for an all ladies church retreat...the theme was women and your inner glamour. The bottom tier was orange chocolate chip w/ CBC filling...the 2nd tier was chox cake w/ andes mint filling...and the top tier was lemon cake w/ raspberry BC. The lipsticks, nail polishes, lips, dots, and swirls were all made from chocolate and completely edible. The diamonds and wires w/ beading were not edible, but added the"bling" that we needed. We were going for a whimsical but glamorous cake and had a blast making it...BTW it tasted great too!

1st wedding cake. Made this for my sister's wedding. 1st & 3rd tier is macsmom caramel frappuccino cake (bride's favorite addictive drink from starbucks) filled with kahlua chocolate fudge. 2nd & 4th tier is wasc.... 1 original the other is macsmom chocolate version filled with choclate mousse & fresh raspberries (grooms favorite berry). All covered with the crusting buttercream from this site.... the VIVA & hot bench scraper technique were used for that "fondant" look. "B" cake topper was pruchased from the bride.... I added clear swarovski crystals for that bling theme. ...... "rhinestone ribbon" was purchased from a family member who sells these at her shop. TFL

Nerve-wracking cake? Oh YES! This baby stood an enormous 43" tall!
I'm 6 feet tall and I had to strain myself to get the top tier on all the way up there.

The bride's stipulations were that it be sparkly and would have "bling" to it when the lights were low and the candles were lit around it. When I researched the crystal ribbon, I couldn't find anything remotely similar for a reasonable price online. Most out there were $30-$90 per yard....and I needed 6 yards of it! Yikes. Went to my local fabric store and found this clear beaded one (intended for curtains or pillows or something?) for a much more reasonable price. I think it worked pretty well. Found some deep purple sequined ribbon for around each tier too, which matched her colours. She provided the excellent deep purple/green monogram topper from Toppers With Glitz.

Cakes were 6"/8"/10"/12" in Tahitian Vanilla and Red Velvet alternating tiers.

a 10" and 8" cake for my friend, Alma, who loves the glitz. I tried to add in a lot of sparkle! The bottom tier is hand painted with zebra stripes with a fondant ribbon and bow. The brooch is not edible of course. The top tier has a damask print in a darker pink (made with a stencil). The plaque, pearls, and flowers/leaves are fondant. I wish you could see all the glitter on the roses! Oh, and the black ribbon with rhinestones, is also not edible, obviously :) Topper was made with some beads I got at the craft store.

14, 10 and 8 inch cakes covered in fondant. Customer chose colors. It was my first really large cake in my shop and I was worried about the delivery and the customer being satisfied. Everything went just fine and the customer was very happy. Whew, what a relief! It took a lot of hours and I'm glad to have this one over and done with. Actually got several calls for orders off of this cake.

This is the wedding cake I did for my nephew and his new wife, It is Sage & Burgundy 6,8,10 in. rounds, iced in BC with fondant/gumpaste decorations. Thank You to Sharon (Sugarshack) for her Boxes & Bows DVD. Edna (Tonedna) for her youtube video on making Calla Lillies. The 3 lines with a jewel at the ends, represets the groom, bride and a son as a family (I did this on another wedding cake for the same reason) they all love this idea. There are jewels in some of the flowers. Last min. had to change the design of this cake, due to things just not working out, but in the end it came out better then the other design. Bride & Groom were very happy with it. TFL God Bless, Sharon

This cake was done to replicate a wedding dress. This was my first time doing swags and also using a lace impression mold (it was alot harder than I thought). Everything is done in MMF including the pearl borders. Overall I was satisfied TFL.

2 tier 1/2 choc 1/2 vanilla cake with BC fillling. The bride designed the cake from top to bottom. Please ignore the droopping bows they hadn't fulled dried yet. I immediately put the plastic wrup back in between them after the picture. The topper is a giant diamond ring with wedding band.

These are 2 cakes that I made for a Mom's lunch at the YMCA I go to. I painted on the rose and zebra designs with black coloring. Let me just say- don't make cakes for a group of women from your local gym and expect them to eat it!!!! YEESH! Cake needs to be eaten people! We ended up giving the 2nd cake away as a raffle because only about 6 people had a slice! UGH! =0)

Bride wanted a cake with a lot of bling on it and found this one on the internet. The cakes are 8", 10" and 12" tiers covered in buttercream. The "bling ribbon" was purchased by the bride, cut to fit, and secured with royal icing (it was a bit heavy). Edible sugar diamonds were also put on the two bottom tiers. I would probably not combine these with that ribbon again since they are so contrasting. Flowers are gum paste and sprayed with lustre spray for a pearl look.

This cake was for my friends wedding. White fondant covered with pearl iridscent spray. The black is satin ribbon with a hand sewn jewel border. The board is painted black and also has the jeweled border. The cake shimmered like the invitations, it was beautiful under the lights.

IMBC cake in 4, 6, 8", very small but cute. It was pale yellow, but maybe too pale, as it looks ivory...white GP orchids and piping, with candy diamonds here and there that were MUCH bigger than I thought they'd be, when I ordered them...
