This was the final cake for the cake class so I had a lot of fun with it. It's all fondant. Please leave good or bad comments. Thank you!

I made this cake for my friend Trish and her fiance Bruce a.k.a Moose. They actually haven't seen it yet as the reception is just starting! I was a nervous wreck delivering it as it was over 30 miles away on small county roads, over RR tracks and every stop had those grates on the road to slow you down! Came out ok though! Oh, it's whote chocolate cake with almond buttercream frosting. Thanks for looking, any comments are really appreciated!!

This is a cake modeled from one here on CC by cakesbyallison. The bride and groom were having a 'black and white' wedding, so they requested black pearls. The best I could do was 'moonstone' pearls. This really wasn't my best effort. I hate buttercream.

I did this cake for a very good friend as her wedding gift. The cakes are dark chocolate with chocolate truffle filling covered with MMF. The ribbons are attached with royal icing. The idea for this cake came from Sugar Creations in Kansas. Thanks for looking!

Very Art Deco! Wedding was all black & white. Made a gumpaste monogram heart topper for a bit of pizzaz!

8" round with fondant numbers, accents & banner. Husband ordered cake and wanted it to say "The Big 50" and wife like pink so this is what I came up with. Fun to do.

Buttercream frosted with fondant accents, for a bridal shower. I put the abstract lily-thing on the top after my other fondant topper just didn't look right! I think it works though.....

This cake was in ivory fondant with black accents. The flowers are real and the "cake" is a white chocolate cheesecake.

6 in practice hat box cake. The box and lid are the Cake Mix DR. tomato soup spice cake recipe with cinnamon buttercream. Covered in mmf with mmf decorations. My fondant is far from perfect but I was surprised how easy it was to put together! Thanks to Godiva and franjmc for the overall design idea.

This was my first fan and of course I had to make it huge! The blades are 12" long and I think there are 25 blades. Sometimes I think I've lost my mind! :)

The symbols in the middle mean true love. The flowers were made for something else, but I thought they would look nice with the fan.

A friend asked me to make her father's 66th birthday cake. She came up with the idea of a Route 66 sign and saying. The cake is covered in buttercream and the 66 was made out of chocolate fondant. This was my first shape cake, so it was interesting to create. Thanks for looking!

This is actually my finale cake for the course 3 class, but I thought that it could make a ver pretty wedding cake or even a birthday ( sweet sixteen or something like that.) The top cake is a 6" coconut cake, the nest one is an 8" yellow and the bottom (covered by the roses) is a 10" chocolate all are covered with buttercream and fondant. I made over 100 roses to cover the sides of the 2" high 10" That became my "boarder" for the cake. I need more practice on the string work, otherwise it's ok.

I was supposed to put sugar run fire dancers on these too.....humidity killed them as well. So I had to free hand these too. I was so nervous, but again, the woman loved them! *fire dancer is the dave matthews logo*

First and last wedding cake. Used IMBC and bride ordered pure white linens. Cake looked like it was frosted in Mayo! Gross! Donated my black back drop and made a big difference. Square cakes are the kiss of death. That and black IMBC sweating onto the white IMBC after it came out of fridge and hit Houston humidity and the K of C poorly air conditioned hall! Aughhhhhh! Never again!

I designed this cake to match the plates I found at Pier 1. I used a tumbler and a wine glass from the set to hold up the two smaller tiers. The curtains in the background came from Target, what a coincidence! This was a display cake for a wedding show. I made the poppies out of gumpaste with black stamens. I was really pleased with the result and it was fun to do.

Black and White Wedding Cake (dummies) decorated for a Bridal Show. I chose the Stems Illusion (thank you to the original designer) design and as the venue theme was black and white I made the Calla Lilies black. Made miniature favors in black and white also with a miniature lily on top.

Got the idea for this cake from Collette peters Birthday Cakes book. Her favorite colors are red, black and silver as you can see. The letters are made from royal icing and outlined in red and black piping gel (which I wouldn't recommend doing by the way). But she LOVED it and that made it all worth it!

Client wanted hot pink, black, and white. I did go back and trim where the black was showing at the top after seeing it in the pic. 10" square white cake with buttercream and fondant decorations. The 17 and bow on top was fondant with gum tex mixed in.

I don't know where to put this - birthday cakes, or Halloween cakes. This is a cake for my friend. We all LOVE Halloween, and do our own haunted house every year. He turned 22 yesterday, and this was my gift to him. Choc. cake w/ white choc cream cheese filling, buttercream icing. All bats, ghosts, skull, and tombstone are made from Tootsie Rolls. Hope he likes it!
