This cake is covered in fondant and the thin black stripes and bows are in black licorice lace. This cake is featured in the Martha Stewart wedding cake book. I took one tier out, and I think my fondant work needs help, but the idea is there. Thanks for looking.

10" chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream covered with two layers of sugarpaste (the customer didn't want marzipan due to nut allergies of some of her party guests) and one layer of sugarpaste didn't give a good enough finish! Pastillage musical notes cut using patchwork cutters, on silver wires. Pastillage/sugarpaste notes around the side/top of the cake.

Bottom tier... two layers of strawberry cake with strawberry mousse filling.The rest of the layers are whitle almond with strawberry mousse filling. The top tier revolves and is lighted with stars " ABBY".......

I made this cake using sampy's cake as a model. My customer didn't want the swirlys on top, but I think it worked out well. Buttercream with fondant accents and BC border.

This one was the last cake for the week. It was an 18, 14, 10, and 6 in cake. I did it in BC with royal icing and fondant accents. Floral topper was real. The design idea came from an unknown source. TFL

This cake is made for a wonderful girl who means a lot to me...she is my best friend's daughter and she is my daughters' piano teacher. It is her Birthday AND she is entering the convent at the end of August! The cake has quite a few flaws and just didn't seem to want to work out the way I intended. The top layer INSISTED on tilting despite my efforts to straighten it out with dowels. And again my super niece helped with the detail decorations!

Small wedding 14/10 inches. She wanted a simple black & white design; as usual, I found something to use for a pattern but I'm too lazy to transfer it to the cake, so I freehanded the design in BC. I love brush embroidery so I had to put a little of that in there too. TFL!

Rich moist chocolate cake with a white chocolate collar, with chocolate mousse filling and white choc paste roses, black and white choc paste leaves - bottom border of cake is choc paste rose leaves . This was a mission to make - lol also first time with chocolate collars - lol no time to practice, but the bride and groom were very happy with the end result! Thank you for looking

Bride and groom cookies for the 3rd wedding on saturday 5th july, she ordered 112 brides and 112 groom cookies, a week before the wedding - lol and this is how they were layed out on the table for their guests. Thank you for looking

This was the quilted look done with impression matt with black dots on BC, Every other layer was just white pearls. Mirror Monogram , the ribbon was black and white dotted cotten , with a mini bow on top. TFL

Three tiers wedding cake in BC icing, with chocolate cookie letters decorations, and a motorcycle. :) The bride and groom both ride motorcycles so they provided a model to place on the cake.

This cake was done to match the invitation. Cake done in buttercream with buttercream scroll work and fondant dots. The flowers and the baby carriage is done in gumpaste.

This is my very first wedding cake. The bride just loved it. The bottom tier was decorated with the pattern of her dress. I really enjoyed doing the cake for them.

Ok...when my friend wanted a cake for her son's 24th birthday, nothing that I'd previously done really fit the bill. I couldn't do anything that might appear "girly" and she didn't really give me many ideas. She just said do something "fabulous." I of course found a great example of something here on CC and it was a cake called Art Deco by Sugarshack. I made a couple of changes but stuck to the original design. The Sugarshack cake is soo perfect and mine is pretty good. Thanks for looking!

This was done for a girl that wanted a black and white theme cake for her 16th Birthday. The mom asked for 16 of the Chanel logos around the cake.... so that's what they got.

I made this for a black and white wedding. The bride told me to leave the top bare so she could add a topper..................hmmmmmm........they just stuck a stargazer in there. I could have made her one but oh well. I still think it looks pretty. Thanks for looking.

Thank you tutugirl for your Main Cake idea. My best friend and I just loved that cake when we saw it, so I made a rendition of it for her bridal shower. This is white cake covered in buttercream, with fondant accents, and edible pearls. So classy.

6" chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling (JKalman's recipe - YUMMY) and iced using BC icing. Fondant/Sugarpaste accents. Winner's plaque is fondant strip with BC writting. Critique subgroup member, but all critiques are welcome! Inspiration from all the race car cakes here on CC. Thanks everyone!

Bottom tier fruit, middle carrot and top chocolate. Had a bit of bulging with the carrot but am pleased otherwise. Quite an easy cake, and fun to do too!
