This was my 1st Fondant cake. I made it for my Daughters 1st Birthday. I had a different color scheme in mind but this was what I ended up with. All is Fondant with the exception of the BC piped stars.

Made a two tier for daughters 2nd birthday. My second cake. Two tiers, each with 3 layers of cake. Fondant covered, fondant bow, stripes and polka dots. Chocolate flowers. I used just boxed Pillsbury cake, which tasted great.. but horrible to work with. Everything else was easy to work with, all though i wish I could have gotten the colored fondant thinner... a little more difficult to thin out.

This is my first fondant cake. The draping was far from perfect, but I was able to cover a lot of the stretching with the flowers and I was happy with the turnout!

This didn't come out like I had pictured in my head! I didn't have enough buttercream on my cake so you can see the chocolate cake underneath. I didn't get it smooth either. I wanted a tablecloth effect on top but ehh....oh well. It was a learning experience and I improve with every effort.

Again this is piped on buttercream and smoothed with a papertowel. The butterflies around the boarder are color flow. The lines are not quite as crisp as I had hoped for, but I learned from this experience.

I love this cake. I found the picture in a coloring book, cut the sheet cake around the window frame, frosted it in chocolate, and freehanded the design. The flowers and butterfly are chocolate that I piped onto wax paper and transferred. I think this is my favorite cake so far! Isn't she cute?

Birthday cake for my Step-son's sister. I love Hello Kitty so this was fun to make. White cake with all shortening icing covered with Fondant. The fondant was airbrushed. I was too lazy to add color to it.

This is my first bow. MMF, it worked out well. And also my first try with the Viva paper towl method, LOVE IT! It works awesome, so much easier than parchment or a hot spatula. If you haven't tried it, you MUST! Any comments are appreciated!

Done to match the little girl's 1st birthday theme. The bears on the base exactly match the plates, napkins, etc. The two base cakes are yellow with choc mousse covered in buttercream. The top bear is devil's food with choc frosting. All the details on the top bear, letters, bear borders, etc are fondant or gumpaste.

This was done for my pediatrician. Her neice is turning 9. She just told me to make it girlie. Her favorite color is green. In this picture it looks like the purse is way off center. In person it didn't look that bad. It was Chocolate Chunk cake with buttercream.

Cake for BF's daughter. Second time using MMF (first time a week ago!), first time making fondant/gumpaste butterflies. The butterflies turned out ok, better luck next time I hope! Little clear bumps in the MMF - did I not melt the marshmallows enough? Bumps are not powdered sugar, so?? I enjoy making and decorating these cakes, but it is so time consuming!! Again, I am a complete novice. Does it get faster the more you do it? I'll take any advice I can get! Thanks.

This is a cake full of firsts!! First gluten free cake (did not rise well!), first stacked cake, first time using MMF, first time attaching ribbon to cake. It turned out pretty well, however, I think the polka dots are a bit much - gives me a headache. :) It was made for a friend who adores polka dots, so she loved it. I am an amateur here, so I will take as much advice or suggestions as I can get! Thank you!
