I made this for a woman who had purchased these gumpaste flowers online and I made them into the vine using wire and ivory floral tape. She bought the birds in place of a traditional top. It is an Italian Creme cake with lemon curd filling and cream cheese icing. She wanted very simple. Nothing else on it. I wish I had a better picture, but.....

This was the first fondant figure I've ever made. I dusted him with luster dust for some color, except his eyes, which I just painted the tiniest pieces fondant with black coloring gel. Everthing else was made with buttercream, including the veggies (I'm sure you can tell). If I would have had more time, I would have given him a fondant fence, but I felt I was too new at it to really "go for it"... maybe I should have =) Thanks for looking!

Did this for my birthday last year ... no one else was going to do me a cake so I thought I'd try this out of Debbie Brown's book. It's cute - I put a few animals in but other than that followed her instructions. It's all fondant!

These are a few cookies that I made for the April cookie club theme. My little ones are absolutely fascinated with robins, so that's how I chose them. The cookies are NFSC, covered with fondant and colored in with the Americolor food markers (which I love!!!!) Thanks for looking!

Made this one on the quick. Only had 35 minutes to ice and decorate due to poor planning on my part. The cake is dark chocolate with strawberry b/c and b/c icinging. The birds were purchased.

I didn't want my cake to look like crisco so I chose light blue. Had SO much fun making the little birds! Buttercream icing, rope, and basketweave. Royal icing flowers. Lemon cake with bc filling.

Only the cake dissapeared this time. We had a mound of icing on a paper plate that everyone was glad to see go in the trash. :D

Simple cake with design taken from invitation. Elmo gave me HELL! I had to make 2 BCTs of him and they both broke BAD! But I ran out of time so I had to do "Emergency Surgery" (lol) on Elmo before the customer got here. But she LOVED IT! She was about to cry so that made it all worth it!

I designed this for a couple that had a baby on the way and wanted it to be symbolized by humming birds. They had first wanted us to hand Porcaline humming birds....not happening! These were made of Gumpaste and hung with fishing wire. The baby bird rests in the nest below.

This is a practice cake I did to practice the stringwork. I made the birds nest out of gum paste and had nothing to use it for. The daisies are gumpaste also. Lemon Cream Cheese frosting, I love the VIVA paper towel trick, I am skeptical no more!

Sesame Street Babies! Buttercream cakes with Fondant figures and accents. Blocks are made of Gumpaste. This was made for my little guy's first birthday. I felt like it was a wedding!!!! I almost sliced off my thumb 1 hour before party began. I was a wreck. I regret not taking better pics of his cake..the one I'm most proud of. It was a big hit! I can't believe how hard it is to plan a party and make a cake when you have a baby! How things change!!!!

I made this cake for my son's wedding. It's lemon cake with buttercream icing and royal icing dots painted with pearl lustre dust. Each tier has pearl beading bottom borders. I made the topper with silk roses and put two love birds to make them look like they were sitting in the middle.

This was my cake from course 2. I totally botched the basketweave (shaky hand) but other than that, I enjoyed making it. My instructor said my violets were better than hers and shes been in the business for over 50 years. Lets hope thats a sign for things to come!
