Six inch round, 7 inches tall coconut pecan cake with a seven minute icing. The fun part was the little bird, I didn't think I could do it but...done in fondant airbrushed 2 weeks ago, scratched up my kids and just painted the beaks and eyes..kids helped a lot with this little bird and I love the rustic look of it. But my roses STINK so let's not call them roses LOL.

NFSC with RBC and RI accents. Was inspired by yankeegal's design. Cardinals are very close to our hearts in our family! Made a few to take along with the patriotic cookies for a picnic on the 4th.

Chocolate cake with BC icing and ganache dripping down. The theme was "just hatched, the new chick has arrived" those are little birds in a nest at the top. see also the cupcakes.

Thanks to Sugarshack for the inspiration on this one. I think I was making this cake from the same invites she did! Anyway.. fondant/gumpaste RI accents. I forgot to take a pic of the smash cake for the birthday girl which was a pile of hay with a rooster. Very cute. OH WELL.

The bride wanted blue jays incorporated into her cake in memory of her father and this is what I came up with. Not my original design, but I think the compromise worked. Hand painted blue jays, RI and BC accents. Real flowers on top.

I scupted this for my dads birthday. The window is cut out because the final cake has hinies sticking out of it, but I didn't know if that was appropriate to post. :) So, I took a couple of pictures before I attached the mooning hinies (can you tell I am a mom?). This was inspired by a cake by Debbie Brown. It was a lot of fun to make.

18" Tall wedding cake covered in 24k edible gold leaf. 2 feet in length blown and pulled sugar dragon and phoenix. Cast sugar crystalline topper and accents.

Idea from Carol Deacon's book, Party Cakes. The cake is made from Wilton football baking pan all covered with Wilton fondant. The grass is colored, shredded coconut. I added my own bird and the bird nest was made from Nestle chocolate sticks.
