I made this for my son's 3rd birthday and the Wiggles are a disaster but I
decided to go ahead and load it. I should have used fondant to make the
figures. Lesson learned.

these were for a trio of cakes for a combined 1st and 2nd birthday party. I was really happy with the way they came out, this being the first time I've tried to mimic a preset character, or three. All are fondant paste. TFL!

we made an exact copy of the film festival poster. The theme was "eat it up." the dimensions are 36" wide and 60" high. it fed 500.
How do we keep it from sliding down? A lot of hard work.
Basically we screw metal angles to the board spaced 5 1/2 " horizontally. We cut the cake into 6" wide strips and put them into the 5 1/2 inc space by squeezing them a bit. After icing and decorating the cake can be lifted up to almost vertical. It took 4 people to load and unload this cake.

This butter cake with almond butter cream was covered in fondant
and air-brushed for my Dad's birthday. He recently retired and
loves to fish. He didn't want to cut into it.

12/9 stack. For a little girls 1st bday. When I do girls in primary colors, I always like to do purple to make it a bit more girly. The characters are candles the mother supplied. I did the squiggles on the bottom a bit messy to look like elmo's squiggles. I had been up almost 50 hours when I was doing this, so it's probably good they didn't need to be perfect.

Created for a little boy's birthday, this cake was a 10 inch with 6 in
stacked on top. The 6 inch was covered with fondant so that I
could paint on the stripes. Clowns were made by baking a few
mini ball cakes and cutting them in half. TFL!! God Bless!

This is my first trying Hershey chocolate cake and Indydebi's icing. The pan was collecting dust in my Mom's basement and I was feeling nostalgic for Sesame Street. Thanks to gourmetcakes for sending me the pan instructions. This was a 'just for fun cake' and DH and I will probably have it for dessert tonight.

BC base, Fondant covered fish made of cake. Oh boy do I want an airbrush, but since I don't have one, I just used various luster dusts and a brush to apply the different colors to this bass cake.

Used the 3d cruiser pan and sliced cake off and added icing to sculpt the shape. Tires are doughnuts (never again) covered in RBC. I had a small divider plate that had 4 clear plastic ligs that I put under the truck for stability then I had to add the styrofoam blocks between the tires and to hold the end of the truck up. I also put dowels in the front and back of the truck through the styro blocks. The tires looked perfect the first time i put them on. I ended up putting them on and off about 5 times

I made this cake for my 3 year old nephew and he loved it!
This was my first time trying to make little figures-thought they looked ok for little cartoons.
Anyway--this was a fun cake to work on while taking breaks from making the horse cake that day. It is a pound cake in the 3D cruiser pan cut into a convertable. Thanks so much for looking!
