This is my take on the sleep over cake photo that the customer brought me. I'm not sure if she found it here or somewhere else on the net. Buttercream ruffles, fondant bedspread,and accents, royal icing headboard. ( I made 2 extra headboards for her, so if this one broke in transit they would have 2 back ups).

My mother-in-law loves to read in her bed, she loves quilts and the color blue. So I made this for her. It is WASC with strawberry filling.

Birthday cake for woman who does a lot of quilting. Headboard and night stand are chocolate fondant, everything else is Vanilla Satin Ice. I really enjoyed making this cake but it was very time consuming and challenging. I learned a lot for the next cake like this. Idea came from 2chae, thanks.

bed is cake with fondant blanket, side tables are cake covered in fondant, puppies are store bought..headboard and footboard are gumpaste.

This cake was requested for an adult birthday party that was having a pajama theme. They wanted something sexy and kind of provocative... Each layer of the bed is a layer of cake covered in fondant. The headboard is cardboard covered in fondant. All accessories are fondant has well.

Made this for my sister in law's 15th wedding anniversary. Her kids asked me to make them a cake a day ahead so it's a rush cake. I looked over cakecentral for inspiration and found something like this. Omitted the undies on top of the bed (the kids were too young). This is the first time I attempted to make figures.

Abigail wanted a dream bedroom with her on a bed holding a teddy bear and lots of pink and rainbows. She likes Hello Kitty and wanted a chalkboard because she wants to be a teacher. Buttercream airbrushed pink sheen and fondant/gumpaste figures.

Customer ordered this for a surprise bday gift for her boyfriend. Apparently it's some inside bedroom joke. He was supposed to be wearing socks, both naked, and for it to say "It's Business Time." But wanted it to remain fun and not raunchy. This is what I came up with, hope she likes it. Everything is edible except for the glasses, made those out of tiny wire. TFL!

This cake was for a bridal shower with a bed & bath theme. They decorated in shabby chic blk, wht, red and silver. The 'mattress', lg pillows and trunk are yellow cake. Everything is covered with rolled fondant, including the 'hardwood floor' =) The cake was VERY well loved!

4 post bed replica for a little girl having a sleepover party. Headboard, footboard done with gum paste. Posts done with fondant. The pillow was gumpaste that was molded around an object and popped off when dry so it would be hollow. Cake stamps added some of the detail. Others done freehand.

Idea came from the wonderful people here at cc. Yelloe cake with cream cheese filling. fondat sheets and bedcover. 50/50 mix for head board and foot board. This is my 4th cake, and first time covering a cake in fondant and first time using 50/50 mixture. thanks for looking.

I made this for a 'slumber party'. I was just planning on doing the penis itself, but the cake pan was so small, it only took about 1/4 batch of cake mix, so I though a bed would be the best place to put it!

Gumpaste baby bed, baby, teddy bear and shoes. Fondant blankets and pillow. Gumpaste covered mannequin, white cake with buttercream, fondant dress.

I used the two oval pans for the cake. Yellow butter cake with butavan filling.Homemade White chocolate fondant. Canopy is made with mexican paste using tylose. To make the canopy mold/form I used cardboard covered with parchment paper and taped that to the oval pan. You need to let the canopy dry for at least 24 hours.

this story cracks me up!!!! this is a cake I did for an anniversary the story is a few years ago this man put a can of peas under his wife's side of the bed....she sleeps very uncomfortably thinkin they need a new mattress...3 WEEKS later she is makin the bed and finds this can of peas goes out in the living room screams"what is this" he smiles"you are my princess!!!!!" so this is the cake I can up with LOL I KNOW RIGHT?!?!!?!?

WASC cake ordered for a grandmother - 2 9/13 cakes stacked. The headboard is marbled fondant, as is the quilt. I used patchwork cutters for each square. The mints, Bible and houseshoes are handmolded from gumpaste. I used frill cutters for the lace on the bedskirt, sheets and pillowcases. You can see it here but there are also seam markings. Unfortunately, the guy who ordered it never picked it up. But I had a blast making it and my coworkdrs enjoyed it.

Got the idea from other cakes on this site. Coconut cake covered in buttercream with fondant figures and blanket. Piped buttercream ruffle bedskirt. Pastillage headboard. Cake and fondant side tables.

This cake belongs to a little girl who celebrated her birthday with a slumber party with 11 of her closest friends. I really enjoyed doing this one. She requested pink, lime green and zebra print. Her mom was nervous w/the color choices but loved the result. I had to get creative on this one to try and fit all the heads on the cake! But I squeezed them all in! Oh, yeah..the lil girl with the bow is the bday girl! TFL. :)

Made this cake for my Aunt's 60th birthday. The cake depicts my aunt and her other four sisters in bed. They had a large family (9 children) and had to share beds at times. Faces, flowers, and bedding all in fondant. Royal icing headboard..

Not quite over the hill, but he thought so! All buttercream icing. The bed posts are made from chocolate using the over the hill pan.
