This is my attempt at Debbie Brown's Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, I really enjoyed making this. Attaching the walls was pretty tricky, I used a lot of parcel tape and then covered them with wrapping paper to hide the tape. I made the stripes on the wallpaper with my sugar gun, it was far easier to do than I imagined. Thanks for looking

8" square cut down to 6x8" to create bed. head and foot boards are gumpaste dusted in gold pearl dust and everything else is fondant. Was surprised at how much time it still takes to make one of these cakes!

Gumpaste Headboard. I was so afraid of messing up the girls faces so I decided to go 'Annie Lee-ish' and leave them blank. I had a lot of fun with this cake. Used my clay gun to make the hair. The board is covered with Gumpaste/Fondant mix then scored and painted to resemble a wooden floor. Flowers and writing is royal icing. Chocolate present. Lemonilla Butter Cake.

This is for a little girl who is very attached to her socks! Instead of a blankie, she sleeps with her socks, and even carries them around during the day...! Fondant figure, socks and blanket. Thanks for looking!

Here is little goldilocks sleeping in "Baby Bears" bed. The picture doesn't do it justice. The cake was huge! The baseboard was 28"x20" and the wall was 14" tall. Everything you see was pretty much edible. The floor and wall were covered with fondant. the headboards were made from fondant. Floors and chests were painted with vanilla and brown to give the the wood look. The honey pots are filled with piping gel. LOVE THIS CAKE! It's now my favorite of all time! The customers were blown away!

Sorry this pic isn't very clear. This was a bunch of "firsts" for me. First time using Satin Ice, molding with rice krispy treats (bed, night stand, and chest), and making fondant figures. The black-haired girl actually has on orange and yellow tie-dye type PJ's. The brown-haired girl has on a yellow nightgown with blue hearts. The bed and the rug are yellow with pink dots. This was a lot of fun to do, but that Satin Ice was very tempting. . .it really is good!! Thanks for looking!

Believe it or not, this was a final for one of my Art and Administration classes! I was so excited!
It's a chocolate cake with all fondant accents. Our assignment was to make it just like our real beds with stains and all!
I got an "A" :)

Where do I begin? Well...everything is fondant, I used a mold for the little girls face but everything else was hand done. I used a little luster dust painting on the sides, I was going for a wallpaper effect. I won first place in my category, novelty non-tiered and first in the beginners division!

This was my entry for the Mid-Atlantic Cake Show - I didn't place but had alot of fun! There were some awesome cakes there!! There are a total of 12 sheep in different poses all around the cake. One of them playing poker is holding the Dead Man's Hand - A's & 8's. :) Sheep and man are fondant/RI. The picture is Photoshopped to cut out some of the background. Girls' sleepover party for 16th birthday. Chocolate cake with buttercream, covered in fondant. Fondant accents and girls, head and footboard gumpaste. As you can see, I still have a long way to go with the art of modeling...You cannot see it good in the picture, but the headboard has a gold butterfly and some flowers on it.

This was a cake I donated to my childrens elementary school "literacy night". The event was to promote reading in young children so I designed the cake around all of those late night flashlight readers. The bed frame, bedspread, cat, book and boy were all done in fondant. The cake is a 1/4 sheet cut in half and stacked. I didn't have a whole lot of time to work on it or I would have dedicated more time to the bedspread by giving it a pattern or some type of decoration.

The bed is a 9x13 cake. The cover is out of rolled fondant that I drew on with edible markers to look like plaid. The doll is store bought and I added nipples and other parts out of pink icing. I made a "toy" out of fondant. The beer mugs were store bought that I filled with a mixture of lemon and apricot jello and the head on the top of the beer is icing. The nipples were store bought candy on sticks.
