This was for my DD's 6th Birthday. Chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream filling with mini chocolate chips. All buttercream icing with fondant decorations. I had so much fun making this for her and she helped me design it =) Of course it was WAY too huge for her party, I took the whole bottom tier to her school for the teachers and staff. TFL!

This cake was made for friends who all have April birthdays. They have a shared party every year & one big cake between them. I have done the cake for this for the past 3 years & usually there are 6 children. Some of them are now at different schools so this cake was just for the 3 girls. It was meant to be a Disney Princess cake but Libby changed her mind at the last minute & wanted Peppa Pig! I usually do the cake as a big jigsaw, beacuse of the boys, & was glad to be able to do something different & more girly. The characters are all hand painted on fondant.

This is a cake I made for the cast party, following a production of Beauty and the Beast, at a local private school. They asked for no characters on the cake, so no child felt excluded. I used the Wilton Story Book pan on top of another cake. I elected to use Belle's magical mirror and the rose...with a heart shaped rose petal falling off the flower. I hear the cake was a hit and so was the production!

I was experimenting with some new painting techniques on this cake, which I think turned out well even though there is a ton of room for improvement. I will definitely use this technique again.

I made this cake for a friend's little girl. She gave me a picture of a snow globe to use as guidance (see attached). Mom provided the figures also. Tree trunks are cereal straws covered in fondant. Tree tops and bushes are RKT covered in white chocolate. I airbrushed all the colors on for effect. The birthday girl loved it and I really enjoyed making this one!

This cake was a bit hard to make. I'm currently living in Danmark where I have all my cake decorating tools. I came home (USA) & some people started to contact me about cakes. Of course I said "Yes". All I had to work with was a steak knife, pizza cutter & my hands. I love the way that it came out & proud that I was able to pull it off. I hand made everything with no cutters or tools. The only thing that I did cheat on were the letters, I bought those ;} Dress is chocolate bottom is vanilla cake.

this was for a woman turning 60 who loves Beauty and the Beast... they specifically wanted something more abstract and not "kiddie"... this is what i came up with. This is the Beast's cape and the medallion that holds it on him. Also, the rose with the wilting petals (as in the movie; to go along with the story). The cake is all buttercream except for the cape and rose which are fondant/gumpaste.
