My son loves superheroes and this cake was for his 5th birthday. It is covered in buttercream and decorated with BC and fondant accents. This was my first large cake and I was pretty happy with how it turned out. My son loved it. Inspired by many on Cake Central. Thank you.

I decorated this cake for my husband's surprise B-Day party. Since there was no way I could bake and hide a slab this big, I relied on a local bakery to do the slab and the blue buttercream - they did a terrific job. The skyline is royal icing on chocolate bars cut to size, with gumpaste bats and "kapow" signs. Thanks to many on CC for inspiration, and teachergirl for her help!

I was asked to make this replica of the (Michael Keaton) batmobile based on a 3" Matchbox batmobile. I tripled the size. This is covered in fondant and then brushed with a vanilla/water mixture.

This is the smallest oval pan, cake is strawberry, bc- vanilla. I used a bat cutout which I traced onto the top of the cake then filled in and smoothed out. I made this little boy's first birthday cake too....thought that was neat! I am a CSM and as always, Thanks for looking!

Inspired by Confetti Cakes' HUGE Batman cake - not as grand, but the customer liked it. Batman, Robin and Joker made from fondant, buttercream icing with fondant accents, RKT trash cans, bag, water tower and rooftop vent. Lots of fun to make TFL !

Batman cake was alot of fun to make! Edible image printer broke, so the fondant plaques (batman, bat light, & gotham) were hand painted. Bats/taxis fondant. Inspired by others here on CC! Thanks!

Started with a large rectangular slab of rich chocolate cake and carved the Batman-shaped ellipse. Covered that in deep yellow fondant, and placed the Batman symbol over that - this was traced onto greaseproof paper then cut out and used as a template for the black fondant. Made it for free for a friend's daughter - so nobody harrass me for infringing copyright ;-)

Pagents theme was superheros-titled Marvel-us as in to marvel- us/you/me theme, i've had alot of confusion with many thinking it was about Marvel super heros- sorry its not despite the use of one of marvel's super heros :) I simply found many designs like this on CC- i wish i could give credit to all those designs that inspired me but there were so many! The spiderman theme layer was triple chocolate fudge-needed more spider webbing lol-Batman's layer was spice cake,& Superman cake was Yellow. Each layer had Orange Essence flavor creamcheese frosting,& was iced w/basic buttercream. the Super hero symbols were self created stencils and stenciled on the cake then piped in and cornstarched/patted flat.

Cake done in buttercream with fondant accents. This cake ended in disaster for me. The top two tiers fell off into the floor of my car while delivering it. I didn't get a picture of it, but the final product would of had batman on top, but ironically I didn't want it to fall of during delivery.

This is a boy baby shower cake with a star theme. The batman cape on the baby is because they did their entire nursery around that theme.

Made for my son's 5th birthday party. Gotham city was made with fondant mixed with gum-tex, cut out, then hardened for 3 days. The black was Satin Ice which hardened up quickly like gumpaste but the gray buildings were MMF which in four days still where not nearly as stiff. The cakes were WASC with buttercream, yellow with chocolate buttercream, and chocolate with chocolate buttercream.
