I made a chocolate 12x12 and a vanilla 12x12 and put them side by side on a covered cardboard base. I put a layer of cream cheese frosting on top in white. I created arkham asylum by making a cell for penguin from foam at the craft store. I made the buildings by putting children's blocks together & securred them with toothpicks. I colored fondant & rolled it out to cover the blocks I built & then decorated the outside with frosting & gel to look like arkham asylum & gotham city. I colored the frosting to make the pavement/walkway & moonlit areas. The road was made with crushed oreos.
I cut out words from rolled colored fondant for the side of the cake.

OK... long story on this one.... but this is 12 cc's iced into a CC cake... then airbrushed navy blue.... the city and the batman logo are made out of fondant. I used skewers on the backs of the city buildings to make the stand. This mom originally wanted a batman bust cake, but backed out and decided to go for some "over the top" cupcakes... this is what I came up with at the last minute. TFL

This was inspired by other cake central superhero cakes. Each of the layers of cake was a different coordinating color inside. Everything was marshmallow fondant except the piping around the bases of the bottom two layers.

This is made with BC. the bats are made out of scrapbooking paper glued to sticks. I had so much fun with this and it was easy. I made it for my nephews birthday and he is getting his bedroom done in batman. So when he saw the cake he was so excited.

I made this for my brother's 20th birthday. He loved it, but I was unhappy with the way all the fondant dried and cracked. It tasted good though!

My son wanted a Superhero cake with Spiderman, Batman and Superman and this is what I came up with. I really wanted to try a topsy turvy cake, so this was my first one. I also made candy pieces using color flow for the decorations hanging from the cake and for the superhero logos.
