10", 8", and 6" white cake covered in white fondant and then the black fondant for the spots. The cake was filled with oreo buttercream that everyone loved and fondant accents. I was given the topper by the Bride's mom and I took it apart, put the straw under their feet one by one, added a straw bow and bandana to make it match. This was sooo much fun to do! TFL

This is the cake I made for the 2nd class of the Wilton fondant & gumpaste course. The first class meeting we learned how to cover a cake board in fondant. She had us texture the fondant before putting on the board. Then we had to make a cake to go with the textured fondant. I textured in paisley & this is the cake I came up with . I think it turned out really well. Cake is covered in fondant. All accents are 50/50 fondant/gumpaste mix. Thanks for looking

This cake was so much fun. It started with an idea someone wanted a western theme wedding cake, but never called. I loved the boots on a cake here so I modified them with pointed toes to look more like adult boots. I wanted to do the bandana from the start but the straw bales came as I was looking at pans. The 6 inch square cut in half was the proper porportions so I went with that. The cake is my special Creme Brulee cake which has whole egg butter cream inside and out. the bandana is chocolate fondant as is the board covering.

A friend of mine carved the heels and soles out of wood (and put a wooden dowel in the center.) The boots are RKT covered in chocolate fondant. I'm excited because they won first place in their category!

I made this for a friend's wedding reception, which was very informal. She wanted a red cake and was having a western theme, so it fit great. I have only done two other wedding cakes, one about 25 years ago and one 7 years ago, so it isn't the best, but the bride was pleased with it. Thanks to ton247 for the inspiration.

This cake was my first baby shower cake to make for a customer. Was a Labor of Love, definitely. Cake slide layers when transporting even though I did use dowels. Ended up being able to save it somewhat, but was dissapointed.

The birthday girl wanted all chocolate and her favorite Stetson and belt on the cake. Everything is edible except the rhinestone on the Stetson (which was molded out of Rice Krispie and covered in black fondant). and on the belt. This picture still shows the brim supports which did not come off until the cake reached it's final destination - support as well. Thanks for looking! God Bless
