I hate to post this, but it is the only pic I have right now. Made this for my hubby's unit organization day. Full sheet cake with bc icing(Van/Choc 1/2 sheets). It was ordered the day before and after I worked all day!!! But everyone enjoyed it!!! They especially liked that it was "real icing"! That made me laugh inside. Thanks for looking!

This cake is for my daughter's 11th birthday. I told her to go through my favorite photos and pick one she likes. This cake was inspired by mykidsarekillingme whose picture was labeled cupcake cake. Thanks for the idea! One layer yellow with yellow cupcakes. Everything is decorated in buttercream. Thanks for looking!

Made this for a client who's daughter really loves build a bear and reallly dislikes fondant. I am not good a t just buttercream cakes so this was a real challenge for me. The colors in the background are homemade hard candies to represent balloons. She loved the cake and that is the best payment.

I got this idea from the Wilton Yearbook - it was ironic, in the book the name on the cake was Alyssa as well and that is my nieces name, she loved the cake. I made my balloons too big and I used a different size pan than the book but I think that it turned out quite well for making a few minor mistakes.

A customer called for an egg-free cake. The little boy was turning 1 y-o and he's allergic to eggs. They wanted a colorful cake, so I guessed that a clown would be perfect. I used the clown cake idea from Wilton course 1 book. I added some balloons.

I made these as part of a gift for a birthday party (for a 5 yo girl) that my daughter is going to. Martha Stewart basic sugar cookie recipe/ antonia's icing.

The balloon is a ball cake with a 2/2 styrofoam under it. I put 6 thin dowels at an angle into the styrofoam and through the bottom cake. There was one dowel through the balloon and into the styrofoam. The dowel you see in the picture was strickly for travel it was removed when the cake reached the party. The cake was surprisingly stable.

All buttercream. Tyrone and the balloons are 2 separate FBCTs. I would have preferred to make the whole top one large FBCT but I didn't have space in my freezer for one that large.
