I made this cake last minute for my boss's daughter. I hated the result, but she loved it. I used the mini egg pan to do the balloons.

This was a cake for one of my bosses who won assistant controller of the year for our whole corporation. I saw this cake in the gallery and I knew I had to do this one. A big thank you to StandingforJesus for the inspiration. I changed the colors and a couple of the other things but I enjoyed doing this cake. Its chocolate, chocolate and strawberry.

This is a chocolate cake, with cookies 'n cream filling, covered in chocolate buttercream frosting. The balloons and presents are a FBCT. "Just the guy" is a funny story - years ago, Joel's mother had taken a photo of him and his wife to a bakery for an edible image to be placed on his birthday cake. She told the staff she wanted the image to be of "just the guy." When she picked up the cake, the edible image was of Joel AND his wife, and on the cake was written "Just the guy!" Now it's the family joke

First birthday cake for Addie's 1st. He loved balloons so we put him in the basket of a hot air balloon that landed on a hill of grass and rock candy.

I made this for my niece's 2nd birthday. I originally didn't plan on putting the balloons on but I had an accident & dented the front of the cake & needed something to hide it!

This is for my boss's birthday and to celebrate the anniversary that our office opened here (they used to be in Biloxi, until Katrina). His girlfriend requested balloons so I had to make the two themes work together. Tried the two different MMF's, using real marshmallows (bottom) vs Fluff worked better for me as you can see! Bottom is yellow cake/bc top is chocolate fudge with cookies and cream filling YUM! (top says Happy Birthday Gary)

This was my first cake order from my job for a departmental birthday. This actually was a very bittersweet moment in tht I was sooooo very happy and excited to deliver this cake yesterday morning, as it was my first paid order from my job, only to have my happy moment dashed when I got a call from my vet shortly thereafter that my little dog - my companion of 14 years - was very very ill and I had to go and put her to rest.

When this lady called, she didn't have any ideas of what she wanted, so she sent me links of his invitation and partyware. His invitations had a bunch of balloons on them, and the sheetcake is a replica of the partyware. Each cake was a carved 9" round-each a different flavor, with real ribbons stuck in. The sheet cake was piped to look like partyware, and added fondant stars. Then a simple "1" smash cake for her little guy to enjoy all to himself!

This was for my son's school's annual fundraising auction. It was inspired by the invitation which featured the filligree design, hot air balloons and butterflies. All of the designs were made with sugarveil. The flowers are gumpaste and the suspended butterflies are porcelain.

Strawberry yogurt cake filled w/ strawberry buttercream. Chocolate buttercream frosted and reg. BC decorations. I unfortunately forgot his birthday this year(one week late) but we had to celebrate it w/ a cake from me because last year, I forgot and bought one from a bakery. He teases me all the time saying I care enough about the others to do a home made cake but he gets store bought cake. Oops! I tried reverse shells again and I don't think I do them correctly.

This is for the grandaughter of a friend who is coming to visit. For some reason this did not turn out as well as I had wanted......could not for the life of me get the squiggles right - hoped the candy jimmie confetti helps it. Truthfully I mess up every other cake I decorate, and tonite is one of those nights!

This was the candle cake for my godson's first birthday. He pushed a balloon into the side of it and smashed the icing just before I snapped the pic. Oh well! He destroyed a few minutes later anyway!!! As long as he had fun with it!
